Tigers MIGHT see the post-season by 2020 or 2021. And they have not seen it for the past 3 years. I think by the time 2021 rolls around, many Tiger fans would be happy to just GET to the post season to have a CHANCE to choke.
I have always found it funny when fans of lesser teams try to find fault with other teams that have (RECENTLY) been much more successful than their team. I guess that is just their attempt to pull others into their own misery.(?)

On the contrary....I don't think Cleveland will approach the levels of their 2017 team. They have already suffered some injuries and I'm sure, like all teams, they will deal with more. The pitching is still solid and that will prevent them from going into prolonged slumps....but their offense will not return to anything like their 2017 levels even with Brantly. Just my opinion.
However....they shouldn't have much trouble staying at the top of the ALC. Minnesota "could" stay close, but they aren't much more than a .500 club.
So - are the Indians great? No. They should win the ALC but they might do it with less than 90 wins.
PS: worry more about what the Tigers will be doing this summer to build up their minor league system.

I hope JV can (help) lead the Astros to another WS this season. I will always have the feeling that he was just lucky to climb aboard the right team last year. Sort of like he was a "bandwagon player". (I admit he was a big help to Houston....but he owes Detroit BIG for trading him to the best team in baseball last year)

Didn't he join the team right before the playoffs? Verlander piggy-backed off of Houston's success and turned it into a ring. He had to have known he would never sniff a ring in putrid Detroit.
