You sort of missed my point. I was making reference to the rise of strikeouts. The league set a record last year with over 40,000 Ks. At the rate guys are striking out currently, MLB totals will be over 43,000 this year.
There is no denying that one of the main reasons for the rise in Ks is the desire for most players to swing for the fences. Even small middle infielders who before just tried to put the ball in play are now using swings that are 30 degrees above parallel. Watch Dixon Machado swing.

Let's look at the facts ... the Indians are in first place only 2.5 games ahead of the Tigers and Twins. Time to dismantle the Indians. Tomorrow the avatar goes ... good job. I will be looking for some payback in Mid May (the laws of averages have to be on my side) if your owner doesn't panic and trade everyone away!!
