2nd MBBRL dynasty league

I understand that worry yet we only just completed year one

I think this offseason with all the banter and trades and current draft have been anything but boring
as a matter of fact this time period has been great

The participation is incredible with these leagues. Boring definitely isn't an issue.

Just some thoughts

12-14 teams that agree to play under the rules already set for MBBRL. That way you could compare the two leagues, and/or have a week 17 championship game.

Not call it MBBRL and let Milk and me design a complex but fun scoring system.

Set it up like we did last year with votes and polls galore.

Not sure why you guys would want to shake up the existing league scoring at this point - - we already voted, drafted, plotted, planned with the rules and scoring in place in mind. The 'new' league can setup whatever format desired by the majority (whomever that is).

If it is different from the existing, however, there can be no 'championship' game between the two. ... that just would not make any sense at all. ....

Drop the MBBRL designation - NEVER !!!!

Assume #3 is being applied. When you draft (develop/advance) every year and re-address potential changes, I wouldn't call it stagnant - just conservative.

I'll agree with lefty, that if we are doing a 2nd league and want the 2 winners to square off at the end of the season, all settings would need to be identical for my liking.

If we start a different dynasty league that has its own format, I'm still interested, as long as the scoring isn't too complex. I don't mind wrinkles, but once we start talking IDP and pass completions/incompletions, you've lost me.

There looks like some confusion with my earlier post. I was giving three examples of the way I see this going.

1 Follow the rules of Dynasty 1 and have a championship game.

2 go away from MBBRL completely and have an interesting scoring system

3 start a second dynasty from scratch and vote on each individual rule.

Hopefully that explains what I meant a little better.

In none of these examples do we make any changes to the first dynasty.

I like leagues that set a minimum platform and then incremental points. .such as

0-199 yds = 0
Then 1 point every 20 or 30, or whatever

A QB that doesn't hit 200 doesn't deserve a point in my book. And if your guy gets hurt before he his 200, your screwed anyways

Then you get 15 (or 18)..obviously the team was riding the RB/defense to those 3 scores and you should feel lucky to get 15

If it is a second league, I'd suggest it get rolling - especially if there are new rules. .... once it gets into July/August a draft would have to be coordinated with other leagues and interest may wane. .....

I have never played a suicide league. Do you play until you take a loss and then you are done? Not really sure how it works .

it is a normal league, just we do the draft super early and there is no add/drops or trades... there is a bench so there is some roster management... But its very close to a draft and forget league...
