A 2nd rounder for a backup goalie that will be 34 next season. After retaining salary for some reason on the Tofolli deal and waiting until it was too late to fire Ruff. WTF are we doing? Absolute disaster of a week for Fitz
Yeah I don't get this. Are the Devils buyers or sellers?

Goalies can be voodoo, watch Allen turn into Martin Brodeur and the Devils go on a run.

Maybe the Flames didn't have any room left (50 contract max), but I was hoping they would put in a claim. Oh well.
I would have gladly accepted the Penguins waving PO Joseph so they could claim him.

Bruins pick up Peeke for Zboril.

Insight on Peeke's game this year @forty_three ?
Hard to really say because he was the odd one out on Vincent's depth chart. He didn't get in a lot of games consistently.

Last year when the wheels came off the wagon he was logging time on the first pair and managed. Steady, not flashy, can be physical but can also make that home run pass. Of the D we have to spare, I would have traded him last. Of course, he's the only one a hockey guy would identify as really worth the assets.

Zboril is UFA so he will probably walk if we can't move Boqvist or Provorov to ensure Jiricek has a spot next year.

i know there are always stragglers coming in but you would think any big deals would be done by now

I would think so ... maybe last resort lol ... they might have told him theyll sign him if they cant get anything else done

/podz was sent down again today to create a roster spot for an aquisition (and to paper him so he can play AHL playoffs)

Can’t believe Smith and Nedeljkovic are still on the Penguins roster.
