That’s just based on one regular season. Wasn’t JA first team last season? I think a guy has to do it consistently to be listed among the top 10 players. One could argue that the top 5 players in the league all play C or F in Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, KD. If this year’s rules were in place for 1st team does SGA get 1st team? I don’t think so. I think it would have been Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, Luka, Giannis. When we are talking top 10 players we aren’t governed by the positional rules of All NBA teams.

Imagine feeling slighted because I said SGA (who you know I love as a player) is a top 15 player right now and I don’t have him top 10. Weird.

They will keep Giddey but if you are trading for Embiid you can't just throw them picks. They will want a young star. Giddey is most likely out in that scenario imo

I would say that because of the needed salary that Dort would have to be in there. OKC may need all 3 because Embiid salary is 47 million next year.

You could have Gary Payton, Walt Frazier, Bruce Bowen, and Hakeem Olajuwon on the same team in their primes and you still have a bad defense if KAT is out there.

Yep. They acquire Embiid to play with SGA and they round out the roster around it. You aren’t making “the move” to compete by trading away an All NBA player. Why would Embiid even want to move on if the team is dealing their best player.

I agree but it would depend on the development of the other young guys. Apparently, Jalen Williams is going to be a top 10 player next year and one of the young faces of the NBA so they probably don't want to trade him

And SGA is top 10 as well. Why are they even doing this? They don’t need it. They’re now a team with 2 top 10 players who are young. Just let them play it out with the depth around it haha.

I'm not sure what Dieng will be one day but the only young guys safe on OKC's roster is probably Chet and Jalen. Everyone else can be thrown in with picks. Giddey keeps improving and his value you will be pretty high.
