I was drooling over Waddle until he got injured. His injury gave Smith the Heisman, but Waddle looked more impressive when they were playing together in 2020.

Looks like Paolo called that one. I hope he turns out to be a better player than other U picks by the Fins.

I would have liked a trade back but looks like it wasn't there. You could see Philly move up and the Giants got out when Waddle and Smith were gone. Although I would have liked Parsons. They made up for the pass rush with Phillips hopefully he stays healthy and dominates they needed that badly.

The Fins picked a good pass rusher who has a lot of potential; Jaelen Phillips. This could really meet a need for a defense that already some good playmakers.

They knew the risk when moving out of 3 but most likely had a list of players that they were comfortable with. Would they have wanted Pitts? Most likely but not bad enough to lose the future picks. There was also a slight chance that he fell to 6 so why not take that risk? Chase who knows he's similar to Parker and Preston perhaps they liked Waddle more. I know a lot of fans from other teams were pissed that he was gone. Detroit may have taken him so moving back further they may have crapped out completely. I would have been fine with Parsons but they obviously weren't enamored with him they could have also traded up for him from 18 as the opportunity was there but didn't. We as fans have no clue and just because we have favorite players doesn't mean the Fins missed on their picks.

Tomorrow will be some tough decisions seems like RB needs to be picked early if Williams is even there at 36. OT Jenkins who could have went at 18 is also there. Seems like LB and C can wait but they only have 3 picks in the next two rounds unless they make some more moves. We'll see what they do but they are set up to grab some nice players. Can't wait!

Definitely needed to help that pass rush as they resorted to 0 blitz a lot. If Phillips can get there without blitzing that will be a godsend. Will also open things up for Ogba and AVG. Can't wait for tomorrow maybe I'll just stay up haha!

Dude also has a lot of health issues, hope he can stay on field. If so, then he may be good pick.

Im ok with Waddle, but I feel like he could have still been there at 12 or we could have traded down from 6 even just a few spots and still got him. I really wanted Harris at 18 tho. I know a pass rusher was needed but there are alot of them in this draft and the talent gap from the top 2 RBs to the next couple is big. We should have gone RB with 18 and then used our 2nd's on Defense

I wouldn't underestimate the chemistry that Tua already has with Waddle. I watched video of huge plays that happened as Tua accurately passed it to him in stride.

The Fins had to upgrade their pass rush. Adding Phillips will cause teams to not be able to focus on Ogbah. It will free up other players also to make plays.

I wanted a RB too at 18 but I understand the decision. The Fins could still add a good talent at the position this draft. I think the current roster of RBs has more talent than we realize. In addition, the Fins have three 2nd year blockers as they progress that will help.

Phillips was the best pick of the day. Waddle was unnecessary and a reach. Not mad at losing out on the first round RBs -- not a pressing need. Need to focus on strengthening the defense since they will be needed to carry the team.

Some guys to keep an eye on in day 2 - Azeez Ojauri an OLB from Georgia , Asante Samuel Jr , CB from FSU, Nick Bolton ILB Mizzou, Carlos Besham Jr, DE from Wake Forest, Jabril Cox, ILB, LSU, Chaz Surratt, ILB, UNC.

Davis Mills, QB- Stanford, Kyle Trask, QB- UF, a couple QBs to look in the mid-to-late portion of the draft as QB depth, competition and upside.

Props to the Bills for strengthening their defense and team overall with Gregory Rosseau - a guy the Fins could have easily paired with Phillips to make the defense what it needs to be.

Waddle is great at getting yards after catch. That is exactly what the team needs. He will be one of the fastest guys in the NFL and he knows how to use his speed to get open.

No risk no reward. I'd rather Phillips than an average pass rusher. We've had enough of those.

Giants would have taken Waddle at 11 they went WR after trading back. That's if he made it. They took a risk that Pitts could be there but liked Waddle more than Chase from what I'm hearing. Probably Tua connection which makes sense.

They can get Williams at 36 although Jets may block that. Lots of nice players left though. The don't need a RB but would be nice Brown, Gaskin and Ahmed are decent.

I think Carter is a major talent and would be a nice pick at 81 if he’s there but I don’t think we’d carry 3 short RBs. Ahmed would probably go.
