Hahahaha, what a fucking joke this team is.

Well, we've already improved over last years record. Atlanta and Minnesota are jokes. While this team is unlikely in my opinion to go deep in the playoffs, they're far from a joke.Hahahaha, what a fucking joke this team is.
I say trade Davis and try to re-sign Trumbo and have him DH. Maybe you can get a decent RF and a starting pitcher for Davis.trey on the team in 17 but where ? I think move davis to rf
It's obvious that the team is ready for the season to be over.
I was going to say streaky. That's what I think has killed this team. Yes, they will sometimes go on four or five game winning streaks but on the other hand, they also go on four or five game losing streaks often as well. And this was the absolute wrong time to go on one of these losing streaks. I think that the rest of the way, we have to go at least 6-3 or 7-2 to get one of the wild card slots. One word to describe this team: sad
And if we don't happen to even get a wild card spot, this is going to be looked upon as a season of what if's because more often than not, the offense did it's part. It was our horrendous starting pitching for most of the season that has us in the bind that we're in.
Didn't help that the game should've been over in the 9th, yet the umpires don't even know their own rules.Tonight was a night of missed opportunities, whether we end up winning or losing. There have been too many opportunities gone by the way side where we could've scored some runs with guys in scoring position but always managed to find a way to botch it.
I'd much rather see Detroit against us for the play in game (if we get there) instead of Toronto or definitely Seattle.
While that does sound intriguing, I'd be worried about having too much time off and losing any mojo we'd have. The ideal situation would be something like this:
In other words: A 3-way tie for the 2nd wild card while the Orioles get the 1st wildcard outright (which means being able to wait for the dust to settle during the tiebreaker games).
- Baltimore goes 2-1 in the last 3 games: 89-73
- Toronto goes 1-2 in the last 3 games: 88-74
- Detroit goes 3-1 in the last 4 games (including the make-up game with Cleveland): 88-74
- Seattle goes 4-0 in the last 4 games: 88-74
