So if we do like 56-05 how is this draft different than just doing an open salary cap draft like we have already done a few times? Juss cuz it's a partner draft?

I said in the other thread, if we are putting a salary cap in, we should extend the range pool to be as big as possible. The cap is there to limit the ability to draft the proverbial "Superteams". The range should be set so that the younger current players are excluded and go back as far as we can without the leather helmet, power I toss R/L playbook days.

Plus it cuts out the current players.

Partnering up and having to deal with a cap is going to be more difficult than it seems, I think. Or maybe I am just overthinking it.

How about we do the 55-05 partners draft, with a cap, one partner can only draft players who started their career in the AFC, the other can only draft players who started their career in the AFC. We draft 26, cut from 52 to 40

I'm no mathematician, but if one partner drafts 26 and the other partner drafts 26, what exactly are you cutting to make 52?

Honestly it has always bothered me that Jerry Rice costs $13 and Randy Moss costs $6

What about instead of drafting a 40 man roster, why not do 2 whole teams that only play a half each or something like we do with basketball?

I actually like that, completely different teams for each half, still have partners, still use a cap...

That will mean each team drafts 48 players, Tommy likey, Tommy want wingy! Does this tie make me look fat?

And when voting we have to list scores for each half.

EX...

First Half
Team A : 10 - Team B : 10

Second Half
Team A : 13 - Team B : 17

Final Score
Team A : 23 - Team B : 27

Would there be a cap for the whole team or for each half?
