Report I got is that talks are going well. Close to deal.

Let's all relax before we talk about trading him. You'd do the same in his situation. This is part of being a franchise player. You have a lot of leverage because a team is showing they like you that much. This is very common with franchise players to go up until the deadline.

On a plus, sounds like talks with Eric Berry aren't going so well and he might be signing his 1 year tender.

It is not so much that this is going up to the deadline that has me upset with Von. It is that he continues to actually go before the media to voice how upset he is with the situation and talk about how he is some ambassador for future players so that they don't have to go through what he is going through. I'm fine with him trying to get all the money he can. Most of us would do the same thing if given the opportunity. No reason to go bad mouth the people who are about to pay you possibly $114 million though along the way.

Von still has a little maturing to do, but he has come a long ways... Hopefully we continue to see him mature after this contract he is about to get.

The latest report I got says both sides "Have gone silent to the radio" which is good. Just tell us when you reach a deal, we don't need to know the details until you sign. Stay away from the media, the radio, etc... They like to be little drama queens.

Nope because it still takes a team ... Sorry at some point you be honest with your self . The year no Deville he was a ordinary player at best .You still need to field a Team . With no help from other side he looks ordinary..

No way they can work out a trade deal now unless the silence the last 48 hours was related to trade talks.

You need to field a good team. Not just a "TEAM"

Just like others around make Von better, he makes them better.

He is part of the big picture in Denver hence the "FRANCHISE" tag.

You get him signed.

We let many FA's walk knowing this day was coming with Von.

What's the most important thing in the NFL to winning? A good pass rush and a good OL. Von Miller is an elite hall of fame franchise changing pass rusher. Yeah these guys don't grow on trees. Sign him.

I'm not saying we shouldn't sign him. I just have not been very happy with how he has handled himself throughout this whole situation. Maybe his agent didn't do a great job of voicing to him how these negotiations would go but plenty of others I know offered him the advice of not letting his emotions get the better of him probably knowing because he is an emotional guy that kind of thing could happen. Unfortunately he did and unfortunately instead of keeping that private like he should he went to social media, interviews, sound bites, and whatever avenue he could find to voice how upset he is with the respect the Broncos have shown him through this. Heck he voiced how he called Elway and Ellis to tell them that they hurt his feelings. To me those are private conversations not meant for the public.

That doesn't mean I don't want him on our team just wish he would conduct himself better

That was in reference to Crash's trade him response.

Oh I understood it was more in response to Crash than me just voicing my displeasure with Von but yet still wanting him on the team. To me it really is that Von seems a bit shortsighted on some of this when it comes to saying the team hasn't shown him the support he thought through these contract negotiations. To me the fact that they stuck by his side through all of the drug issues, injuries, and off the field distractions should show they are committed to this guy. Hopefully this is done tonight and we can just put all this nonsense behind us and watch Von continue his HOF career winning us lots of games.

Yeah I am not going to argue that Von can handle things a bit better. Totally agree with that. See Von is a player who has the fans wrapped around his finger because of how good he is. Like any other star fans drool over him, so I think he likes to use that to get people on his side as if he is the innocent one and the front staff is trying to screw him over. Typically the young fans are going to come to his side and he probably likes seeing that using that as if the front office is the bad guys to get more money because the "fans" are on his side. A lot of that goes down in sports. Players market themselves to the fans.

I think Elway fired the first shot with the fake deadline and contract details on June 7th to make Von look like a greedy bastard to the working class public. They should never have made any contract details public unless they were announcing a signing.

Von did not like the fake deadline and going public with the contract details . Up until that point I believe he said nothing but positive things about Denver.

I will need to see if I can find anything negative from Von prior to June 7th.

Yeah I think you're correct in that. I think Denver sorta started it. Things weren't handled well on both ends, but I think in the long run the relationship will be fine once this contract is signed.

Believe me I know the Broncos are not innocent in this. I'm hoping they can get a deal done and both sides can learn a lot from this whole mess. I figured the deal would take up to the deadline but I didn't think we would be dealing with the back and forth in the media like we have. Elway and the Broncos have done pretty well contract wise of being very business like and fighting to save every dollar they can to build depth but yes their use of the media should be called out too as they definitely did not need to try and take this public like they did.

Trade him to a He want's it all up front ..in other words 3 years from now he will be sitting at home saying he will sit out .

Trade him we are deep at his position F him ! Two Number one from a crappy ass team we can get some kick butt talent in the draft and not kill our cap and sign Sanders

Von is expected to spend the extra dough on blueberries - he is health conscious.

As things have gone quiet in the Von Miller negotiation, optimism has grown for all involved. It’s headed in the right direction quickly.

#Broncos & Von Miller spent the last week making significant progress on the 6-year, $114M offer. I’m told the guarantees now eclipse $70M.

Sometime between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm MDT tomorrow, Broncos Country will breathe a collective sigh of relief and the mainstream media will no longer try to stir up controversy by reporting on a deal that was always going to happen. Welcome back, Von Miller!

Looks like the two sides have done everything but sign the contract. Von is at an event tonight and has an event tomorrow evening in Utah so good chance he flies into Denver tonight and signs the contract early tomorrow morning.
