Ok, I'm willing to do that.

Try Unforgiven, too.

Please don't try to say you'd ever seen it or heard of it before. Took you 3 times to get anywhere close to spelling it correctly.

Just to be clear, which of these is correct?

a) The Unforgivin
b) Unforgiving
c) Unforgiven

movies out right now that Oscar is looking forward to seeing:

The Lucy
The 22 Jump Street
The The Edge of Tomorrow

The Edge of Tomorrow was a good movie. Lots of dark/sarcastic humor to go along with the sci-fi in that movie.

What problem do you have with Unforgiven? Best Picture isn't good enough for you? Very few westerns have ever won that.

Not sure about Hammer, but Unforgiven isn't really a Western.

I like it as a film (get the feeling Hammer didn't), but it's just not a classic Western.

This is a thread about movies making money and you guys are talking about Westerns.

The movie industry has avoided them for decades because no one watches them (possibly because the genre has peaked...no idea)

I also don't get why people like the new Planet of the Apes movie. Nothing to see there at all, imo, but I did enjoy the Captain America movie and the Lego movie. Critically, this isnt a down year for movies but they are down in sales by 20%. Thats a big deal.

1 - Desert
2 - Heat 7 months out of the year. 90+ degrees from April till late October, with much of that time in 100s.
3 - See #1

I recommend cheap ( but killer food) ethnic restaurants and pub crawls with music in an air conditioned environment.

And if there's anything you know about, it's great westerns!

Among other things, yes I do know a lot about movies. Westerns isn't the only genre I know. I'll go to see any movie of any type if I think I'll enjoy it.

A lot of this is subjective. For instance, Citizen Kane is regarded as the greatest movie ever made by many film critics, but I didn't care that much for it. It would not be in my top 25 all time greatest movies. Same thing with Casablanca. Certainly a great film, but just not one of my favorites.

I've never seen either in a movie theatre, so that might make me change my mind if I get the chance.

My favorite Western was "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest".

Happened in Oregon, I think.

Yep, this is what I do most of the time. Movies are not meant to be seen with women unless they are the one & like what you like.

Next thing you know, I'm going to learn that the original Stagecoach actually sucked.

<settles in with new WWI book for solace>

What WW1 book are you reading? I've read quite a few.

True, but i think the economic measure has shifted to include figures on total consumption.

The The Edge of Tomorrow

Forget 22 Jump Street. I'm older than 21.

Saw Edge of Tomorrow, I thought it was good.

Lucy, I haven't seen.

I recommend Boyhood, which I saw on Saturday.

I have seen it. When it came out in 94, I think that was the year. It would be C. Sorry for the spelling errors. I enjoyed that one.
