It'd be nice to see a few meaningful bowl games played in Big Ten country.
we had to play against Miami in the Orange Bowl multiple times.

The university claims that shit, they makes shirts, and we buy them and flaunt it. However, the majority of Alabama fans will tell you that they only claim 10 or 11 honestly, not the 15 that university claims.
There are just too many variable to be able to say that ALL-TIME one program is really much greater than the other between these.
Bowl Records at first seem pretty important, but then you get into the fact that bowl tie-ins by conference make it tougher on some than others.
All time wins, super important, but you're playing different teams than pretty much all the other top 5, and as has been said, ND and USC/UM and tOSU playing each other every year really makes the national title category tough as well.
Not my experience. Alabama fans I've met have been more than happy to claim all of them except 1941. Even the university is not taking up the "AP/Coaches" poll line in their media guide. The hypocrisy is blatant.

Win/loss records of teams beaten in major bowls:
Notre Dame (113-4-1)--0.96186
Alabama (199-18-4)--0.90950
Miami (FL) (102-10-1)--0.90708
LSU (103-12-2)--0.88889
USC (244-30-5)--0.88351
Oklahoma (166-21-5)--0.87760
Texas (134-18-4)--0.87179
Nebraska (130-21-2)--0.85621
Ohio St. (134-23-2)--0.84906
Michigan (95-16-4)--0.84348
Penn St. (90-20-0)--0.81818
LOL @ Notre Dame never winning a conference title
I'd like to throw out there that ND's bowl game record would be better if we didn't skip out on bowl games for 40 years.
