Well I can't argue with 1) Bama, 2) ND, and 3) USC.

Though I'm pretty sure others will. I do always struggle with the head to head aspect where you have Oklahoma #4 and Texas probably around #10, but Texas owns the all-time record.

I always have trouble ranking this stuff unbiasedly. There's also the question of whether or not your rate recent success over historical success. Alabama has certainly been making a hell of a case recently.

I think a good case can be made for all of them except for Ohio State. They trail in every category except for winning seasons and Heisman winners.

When I first read the thread title my first 3 thoughts were Bama, Ohio State and Nebraska. After looking at the chart you gotta go Bama 1 I think and Id probably have SC 2nd although thats a tough ass question.

I think you can eliminate ND, OhSU and Michigan immediately. No way to call a team with a losing bowl record the "best of all time."

ND is pretty close in every column. They also have multiple movies made about them and are clearly the most recognizable name in college football. BCS had ND rules. I think it is pretty obvious who is #1. Even if you dont like it.
