I couldn’t make it thru the 1st half today. The train wreck continues. Seemed like every positive play by the offense resulted in a penalty.

Although the offense doesn’t give the defense any rest, the defense refuses to help itself by not getting off the field on 3rd down. The defense, for the most part did well on 1st and 2nd but it didn’t seem to matter what the distance was on 3rd for the Vikings to convert.

I don’t think I can continue to watch the product that Lafleur is putting on the field. I’m not in the fire Lafleur corner yet but if the teams performance continues then a change may need to take place.

The only thing this team is good at is being a confidence booster for any team that is struggling.

This is the worst team in the league right now. Utterly inept. They are not cohesive in any aspect by any metric. Their play is a constant stream of self-destruction, missed opportunities and blown assignments. Fingers are pointing at everyone.

Would not say the worst... seen some of the NYG games and they may be the worst. NYG scored only 95 points in 8 games... Packers have 140 in 7. Removing the Bears game... Packers still have 102 points in 6 games. So NYG futility on offense is much worse than Packers.

But point is not lost... Packers are bottom 5 in league right now.

Fair points.

Giants' losses are to DAL, SF, SEA, MIA, BUF, NYJ.
Packers' losses are to ATL, DET, LV, DEN, MIN.

The Giants list of losses are almost all against playoff teams with good defenses. The Packers list is almost all against non-playoff teams with bad defenses.

Very good point in rebuttle... their schedule is much more difficult to date.

But even looking at stats for yards/points, it still is not a huge difference.

Giants next have Raiders and will be first common opponent. Packers also get Giants later in year... if both playing like now could be a real snoozer.

I think it will be a confidence builder for the Giants. Maybe this season will be a blessing in disguise and GB will be in the top 5 of the draft.

Presently #6 in draft order... but still many games with other very underperforming teams.

I think Packers will be top 10 in draft unless something magical happens... top 5 things would really have to fall apart IMO.

I can see things falling apart for GB. As for the rest of the teams...who knows. Not that i want to see my team fail, having some high draft picks for a change may be the difference in turning things around. The biggest concern will be mgt choosing the right players. i have my doubts about that.

Looking back at 2021 and 2022 would need 4-5 wins to finish top 5 in draft.

Based on how Packers are playing today... there are 5 games Packers have small chance to win and 5 games 50/50 (highlighted)... put MN on that list as unsure what they will have at QB now.

With Packers inexperience and youth... if they ever see the light could see them winning enough games towards end of season to bump them out of top 5 or maybe top 10.

If Packers finish with top 5 draft pick... 2024 the seat is very hot for both Gutey and MLF in my opinion and gone at end of season if no improvement.

Good info.

Personally, I don't see being top-5 as being a massive benefit over being top-10; it's much more about what you do with your draft choices than where your choices reside. I'd much rather see GB try to extend the culture of a winning mentality than try to tank for the draft and subsequently develop a culture of apathy towards losing.

I think it's still possible GB could get some traction this season. Perhaps all it might take is one play to congeal this team. ...Maybe it's a 75-yard TD run by Aaron Jones that doesn't get called back on a holding penalty. ...Maybe it's an opening-possession pick-six that loosens the offensive tightness of never playing with the lead. ...Maybe it's a trench fight that causes everyone on the team to have each other's backs. This team is not void of talent, it's void of cohesion; and if they gel, they could be competitive again.

Rasual Douglas + 5th round pick shipped to BUF for a 3rd round pick.

This doesn't make the Packers a better team right now, but it doesn't hurt them too bad, either. Every "great play" I ever remember Douglas making was because he was accidentally in the right spot.

Not as good a deal as I'd like to see...we get an end of 3rd rounder and they get top of 5th...whatever.

Agreed... and some more dead cap money to the bottom line.

I actually liked Douglas as #2 corner... he also was available (not hurt) for most of his time here.

Agreed. Personally, this team doesn’t have to try and tank anything. They are doing such a great job of playing at a horrible level, the rest will take care of itself. I think, because Rodgers kept this team competitive for all those years and always picking late in the draft, GB has missed some better talent. Don’t get me wrong, they got a few picks right but not enough to tip the scale. Add to the fact, horrible choices and decisions by mgt has resulted in shit show that’s on the field now. That said, I think MLF and Gute get until the end of next season to right the ship. If not, time to move on. The only one I think should go immediately is Barry.

I agree. It’s what you do with the draft choices but you have better odds in picking in the top 10. Nothing is guaranteed but I like my chances early.

This team is still really awful when it comes to mental mistakes...and that stuff has to be fixed before anything good can happen for them...it's just beyond ridiculous how dumb these guys are with stuff you're taught the very first day you're issue pads at any level, so 10 years ago for most of these guys

Anyone impressed with today’s win? Had Stafford played, this game could have went a lot different. A win is a win I guess. One thing I have noticed over the years of watching football is injuries tend to pile up on teams that struggle to have success. Every game someone ends up leaving with an injury and not returning. The list is piling up in GB.

The one thing I did see today is they competed their asses off. That stated, they really do some of the dumbest shit you can do. The stuff they teach you the first day they issue you pads, like how to line up, focus on the snap count, be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there. All of those things they continue to make mistakes with, and to me that is unacceptable. I understand they're young and there will be growing pains and they will get beat, but doing things to make it easy on your opponent to beat you just don't make any sense to me. Beating yourself with those mistakes is basically unacceptable in my book. They're paid professionals and need to accept that and act that role.

A win is a win... but with Stafford that game is much more difficult to win if they do win... Rypien looked like backup QB. But a win is a win in the NFL and injuries happen... Packers have dealth with quite a few this year.

Packers 7 penalties in 1st half... think only 1 in 2nd half. Runyon twice lined up in "neutral zone" and Gary 1 time lined up offsides, Reed had a false start, Wyatt lined up offside that was declined... so lots of pre-snap penalties again.

Defense won this game... but helped with the LAR QB situation... but they did respond. Lots of rookies making some plays today... Brooks, Wooden, Valentine, Johnson, Van Ness on defense.

I really like Musgrave at TE.

Hopefully this carries over and team grows with the W.

Next 4 games competition definitely gets more difficult... @Pitt, LAC, @Det, KC.
