Goodness gracious maaaan!!! Have you seen the all star game? I’m guessing there are write-Ins just to be funny.

I have seen the All star game. still haven't explained why an off the cuff radio interview's content would be more important....nor will you.

You actually think this is serious. It’s pure comedy man. Did you know Andre Iguodala and Durant would both take Kobe over Lebron?

Lmao you idiots won’t even take a great NBA players opinion seriously but you take the internet SportsHoopla serious. :pound:

This shit is just too funny
No one here takes this too seriously. At least I hope they don't. with no sports the MJ-Lebron topic was welcome.

Lebron led the NBA in scoring, once.

assists, once.

Jordan led the nba in scoring...7 straight years, then after he came back, he won 3 scoring titles...in a row...again, in full seasons. he also led in steals 3 times, when people tried calling him lazy defensively.

let me ask you this:

would a 38/39 year old lebron average 21/6/5 at 36 MPG AFTER taking 3 years off?
where are you getting those numbers? combo of his 2 seasons in washington?

If so, sure, why not? Assuming he joined a team as bad as washington that could allow an old guy who was only hitting 42% (around 25% from 3) of his shots to jack up 20 a game.Though I suspect his points would be higher if he took that many shots.

i also say at age 60, if jordan got in shape, could be a 10/5/5 guy off the bench. at 60. in shape. with ridiculous training.
I think I'd bet against the 5 and 5 part. If he still jacked up shots like he usually did, sure, 10 points is doable....though I'd bet more on Lebron putting up numbers like that at 60 if he wanted to.

Kareem had the most unstoppable weapon in the history of the league, the Skyhook.

"i gotta side with cowherd"

Anyone that does that is a moron.

wait, you're still playing the "cowherd is opinionated and it makes me angry so i disregard everything he says" trope? lol ok lil guy . . .

No.

But only because he isn’t going to take 3 years off.

i said this once and i will say it again. this is the difference between lebron and MJ:

MJ was a serial killer on the court, and in his own locker room. he didnt care that he wasnt liked. he wanted to win.

period.

lebron wants to be liked. MJ didnt give a fuck.

along those lines, regardless if you hated MJ (as I did the bulls, as a celtics fan) or loved him, you STILL tuned to NBC on sunday to see what MJ would do. the same thing with pedro pitching here. people didnt come to watch the sox every 5 days, they came to see pedro...watch what he would do that night. any night could be another record.

i have never heard anyone say that about lebron. that you tuned in to watch "lebron" regardless of your opinion of him as a player. he just didnt have the same "holy shit, whats he gonna do tonight" appeal.

but everyone did for MJ.

To be fair, Lebron is from a completely different era.

When the past greats were coming up, there was no social media, no AAU, the McDonald's All American game hadn't even been around that long.

Most of those guys while they'd heard of each other, they never met until they got to the NBA and played against each other. So they never really got to be friends until they were well into their NBA careers.

These days, many of them become friends playing in AAU and seeing each other on social media, etc. So they're more likely to come into the NBA already friends.

Thats fair, and it applies to many sports.

My point remains. No one (aside from Cavs, lakers, heat fans) tuned in to watch lebron. I didnt. Never did.
But i did for mj.

You sure he didn’t think he was in one of his fake accounts when he said that?

Yeah, that is just not true.

You are an adult. You were obviously a lot younger when you watched MJ. Probably even a kid?

Tons of kids today tune in to watch LeBron just like kids in my generation tuned in to watch MJ.

And plenty of adults do too.

People are allowed to have their own opinion. Expected people to always see things the same you do is stupid.

LeBron is a much more efficient scorer, way better passer, better defender.

And although Kobe is a better shooter, LeBron has a higher 3point %.

Kobe is a better clutch shooter and FT shooter that's about it.

Lebron: 5x All Defensive 1st team, 1x All Defensive 2nd team

Kobe: 12x All Defensive 1st team, 3x All Defensive 2nd team

But LeBron is better...

At the same time, LeBron's defensive metrics rank better than Kobe's.....all defensive team is the NBA equivalent of MLB's gold gloves, where deserving players often don't get their due and certain players keep winning based on past reputations.
