Who doesn’t think Giannis or Lebron isn’t the best at their position? This isn’t a vote for 1 year all star game that means nothing its overall body of work of who’s the best ever. Horrible comparison

Apparently more than 30% of NBA players....did you not see the link I posted about how the players voted?

So the point still stands: players' opinions only matter when it supports whatever claim you're trying to make.

Well the all star game is rather pretty gay with it being Team Lebron or Team Giannis maybe that’s what they don’t like?

Stupid comparison. This isn’t a vote of who should be in a game.

The article posted numerous examples of highly deserving players not getting a high % of votes...I used LeBron/Giannis since those are the two most notable examples. So that excuse of the players being against the new concept doesn't fly when someone like Luka or Kawhi weren't on many ballots as well.

The all star star game is a measure of performance, similar to who is the better player between LeBron/Kobe.

Performance = performance, no matter how hard you want to try to claim they're not similar concepts.

Lol. Sounds like the voting is more of a crock than the actual game itself. No one takes it serious. They take the parties serious. What a dumb comparison

Here's something more serious than all star game voting, although in a different sport: look at baseball's hall of fame veterans committee. Do you trust the ex players when they put peers like Harold Baines or Jack Morris in the hall?

:L you’re reaching like nobody’s biz here man. Keep it simple. Lol. This isn’t the entire league voting on meaningless game. The topic is a video with many great players some HOFers on who guarded THE GOAT and the other 2. It’s their personal experience. Really bad comparisons you got rolling here

Keep it simple

But why do you think someone speaking off the cuff on a meaningless radio interview is talking things seriously or thinking everything through when comparing Lebron/Kobe? Why is that serious? Apparently radio interviews are serious? :rolleyes2:

You're picking and choosing when 'players are serious,' which seems to be a recurring theme with your argument.

Lol. Goodness man you’re gonna hurt yourself.

it’s A B or C. And they have experience with all 3 then they choose. You think they’re lying or not being serious?

You being serious here Clark?

I can just see you all in a bar telling Ray Allen “you’re wrong”. “You don’t understand that when you guarded those guys, you became biased”

Lol

yes because coaches and sports writers have no agendas ever. :L

Lmao. What’s Ray Allen’s agenda?

KGs agenda? TMacs agenda? Vince Carter’s agenda?

Coaches have less of an agenda than players do.

Players take things personally.

And players almost ALWAYS say that their generation is better.

The truth of the matter is that Steph Curry would MURDER someone like Walt Frazier, but no player who ever played with Walt would ever admit that.

Do you think they're thinking things through rationally/critically when asked that question and given about 5 seconds to answer?

Your argument fell apart when you decided to infer that players aren't serious/thinking when doing all star game voting but somehow are serious on random radio shows where they're just shooting the shit.

You read that right, focker. Centers need not apply

Kareem had the most unstoppable weapon in the history of the league, the Skyhook.

"i gotta side with cowherd"

Anyone that does that is a moron.

Disagree with me? Lol Did you see me on that video? I haven’t guarded all 3 of these guys. These are actual NBA players not the internet ;)
clearly...if you think a tummy ache is worse for a bball player than a bad leg cramp you probably never played a sport that requires running.

Lol. It’s not my evidence.

it’s a video with former players saying it. All faced all 3. Those guys were on the court not I.

You can’t just throw the actual players (peers) opinions out the window and judge by stats only. That’s stupid. Who are the best players of that time who’s opinion carries the most weight?

KG? Faced all 3
Paul Pierce? All 3
Ray Allen faced all 3 and played with Lebron
Vince Carter faced all 3
TMac

who else in that period of time? You’re just gonna throw their actual experience out the window and listen to Shannon sharpe? Lol

cmon man
TMac picked Lebron over MJ as the GOAT. If he has Kobe over Lebron I guess we should be discussing whether MJ is even better than kobe?

why would I tell allen he's wrong? He's entitled to his opinion. Would you tell TMac he was wrong when he told you Lebron is better than MJ?

Thinking players' opinions are more valuable bc they played the game is just stupid logic. They have bias just like everyone else and since it is in their line of work, more bias.
