John Lynch, SF

Lynch and Kyle Shanahan took over in 2017. There were more standout players in place than most rebuilding jobs, but it's remarkable that the 49ers now have perhaps the most talented roster in football. Credit Lynch for overcoming a disastrous first two picks at the helm ( Solomon Thomas at No. 3 and Reuben Foster at No. 31) to find core players at every level of the last three drafts, including George Kittle, Fred Warner, Mike McGlinchey, Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa. New GMs are supposed to show their work by Year 3, and Lynch's work nearly won a title.[/QUOTE]
Got Bosa because they lost their QB and were awful enough to get the #2 pick. Some solid players, sure.....but hard to put a guy 6 who needed a QB and passed on Watson and Mahomes and took a backup DL.

he doesnt see it:nod:

Bro, I have absolutely no idea how you could support the Pats fan in that argument with the Eagle fan. I have no stake in this argument but come on...
Pats “The Eagles won a fluke SB”
Eagle “We has the best record in the NFL all year, we sat everyone week 17 and went 13-3”
Pats “It was a fluke”
Eagles “A fluke is when you suck, make the playoffs as a 6 seed and win the SB, then go back to sucking”
Pat “Thanks for playing. You are the weakest link”

Then you chime in with the Eagle fan doesn’t get it? Come on. That’s exactly what makes this board pointless. People supporting the trolls.

have you actually paid attention to your boy in numerous threads? Im curious? Or are you just gonnna chime in here and plant your flag?

He drops shit in thread after thread........making rediculous claims, then when you ask him to back it up, he runs.......When i repeatedly asked for an explanation, he told me "im one of the few people he has no interest in talking to"

Strictly because i called him out and asked for an explanation to his claim.

He repeatedly does it.......thats the point......thats what he doesnt see......or you for that matter.

If your gonna act like a douche and make bullshit claims, back them up......

I don’t follow your past conversations with him but I’m talking about the one I brought up and he was completely correct and the Pats fan was totally trolling him and was completely unobjective and I don’t get why you backed him.

It's a ridiculous claim to say the Eagles Super Bowl win wasn't a fluke?

I didnt say that claim was, but about 95% of your others, are. But you dont back those up....here you for once did......irrelevant to the point i was making

I posted the definition of fluke.

Strange that it nor any other non Eagle poster mentioned anything about a 6 seed.

Got to love the Philly cyclones.

Even better now PE1 wants to jump in with this typical lack of comprehension and mastery of cherry picking.

What exactly is kicking the can down the road? All teams do extensions and contract manipulation to "kick the can down the road". Every single one of them. The good teams, that stay in contention for long periods, manage that so they don't get in a situation where they need a fire sale to get under the cap. The Eagles are one of those teams. They've don't it for 20+ years since Joe Banner.

That kicking the can as you say is nothing more than dead money on a cap. You don't think teams have dead money allocated to a portion of their cap? It's when the bad contracts that the dead money percentage cant handle that teams get in cap trouble and have to release players they don't want to because of the cap. The Eagles, for the most part, have not been in this situation the last 20+ years.

You know as well as I do, there was post after post about the Eagles letting Foles go because of the cap. You may not have been one of the fools that argued they let Foles go because they were in cap hell, but many did.

Like I said, give me examples of the players the Eagles "unwillingly" (your word not mine) go to get under the cap. It's been quite the opposite where they've been able to be players in free agency and keep their core in place. You can argue they've made mistakes in their evaluation and signed/drafted the wrong player or let someone go who could still play. But, you can't argue they've let players go unwillingly due to their cap situation.
You do realize that 7 of the past 20 years the Eagles have been at or below .500? What is your definition of good?

What teams outside of the Patriots haven't?

Colts 6 of the past 20 years.
Steelers 6 of the past 20 years.
Seahawks 6 of the last 20 years.
Packers 5 (6 if you count a 8-7-1 season) of the last 20 years.

Besides those 4 teams and the Patriots there isn't any other teams who have had less than 7 seasons in the last 20 years that were at or below .500

Weird take.

See right there for you. I said you backed this point up. Weird take on your part, again. I know its hard to keep things straight sometimes.

For starters i's weird is how someone would think a winning record of 8-7-1 should be considered?

You chose to bring up 20 years. I just went with it. Do we want to take this out further to prove the Eagles mediocrity?

I've been burnt enough times by posters like yourself. So I googled one team. The Ravens. Weird, what do you think I found:scratch:
