Man you are all over the place. You hope he loses every game but also worry he won't get out of the first round LOL
i worry he wont get out of the first round because i dont want his legacy to take such a gigantic hit-- id like for him to be considered the best ever when he retires- but i am also glad he wont win shit this year with the Lakers- if that makes any sense.

I'll take problematic if it means retaining a trade chip. I don't agree that he would need to be moved either. If he's part of a successful first season with Lebron (not a ship, but a good playoff run), the negative b.s. that he's carrying should fall away. It seems fueled by some perceived beef with Walton over PT (although Walton's usage drove Randle's improvement last year) and bad blood with Randle's agent.

I'm not talking about whatever beef he may have. I'm talking about being able to immediately clear the cap space necessary to land another max guy.

Because of how they have set things up, they look to have in the neighborhood of $40 million next year. Having to try to trade Randle could make clearing that space more problematic.

I don't think there's a bigger Randle fanboy than me. But he had to be moved for the Lakers to do what they are looking to do.

What I heard was Randle got butt-hurt about a reduced role in the offense with all the new pieces....

I agree with KCP being a package deal....
a reduced role in the offense?

there is enough ball for Durant/Klay/Curry---- Kyrie/LeBron/Love played with eachother for 3 years.....I seriously doubt Randle was like--- oh shit I am not ever gonna get the ball palying with LeBron and Lance Stephenson etc.

We don't know if that's what the Lakers could have gotten him for. He took that deal after the Lakers granted him his release.

Looking at it strictly from a "this year" perspective...then it would make sense to keep Randle.

But the Lakers are looking longer term and preserving cap space. Because of that it was better for the Lakers long term to let him go and more fair to Randle to let him get on with his career since he wasn't part of the future anyway.

i get what you are saying---- and i do suppose it is contingent on him accepting that same offer from the Lakers.

Id think staying at home and playing with LeBron would be a draw more so than a hindrance in that negotiation though.

If it was me and I could get Randle for 2 years 18M---- and only clog up 9M in cap space next year- i definitely do it as the guy is close to entering his prime. Hes 24 in November. By next year, when supposedly they will try and really compete, hed be 25 and right about in his prime. To me- thats one of the reasons why the CAvs dealt Wiggins. a 30 year old LeBron and 20 year old Wiggins just didnt make sense.

Shit, even if LeBron stays there for 4 years, Ingram will only be 24-25 and just about to enter his prime by the time LeBrons contract is up and his decline will be upon him.

basically...no matter how you break it down...the prime's of LeBron and Ingram will never intersect. Its the "Wiggins Problem" just more extreme.

basically LeBron has been to 8 straight Finals.

His agent just said he went to La for "basketball reasons"

if he does not make it out of the first round of the playoffs- he looks like an asshole and hurts his legacy.

While i dont want him to win a championship- i also dont want him to look like an asshole and harm his legacy. If he could win a first round playoff series that would be cool with me.

If you really cared about his legacy you'd want him to win a championship every year he's in LA. Then the MJ vs LeBron debate would be extremely over.

I can't find the link that I saw during FA....but he allegedly wasn't happy with the durection they were headed....

And it wasn't all rosy in LA for him. So he didn't want to be here.

There was this from last season:

Luke Walton admits Julius Randle unhappy over not starting

Gotta call bullshit on this. You're just saying that because he left Cleveland. Can't wait to see how overly critical you'll be about him this upcoming season. Should be some great entertainment.

you think if the CAvs lost to the Pacers in the first round id be saying anything different? lol...gmafb....if after 8 years he goes from making the Finals, to not making it out of the first round because of the decisions he made- he is gonna look like a colossal asshole.

@WiggyRuss

Since you're a fan of one sided bets.....

10k bet the Lakers win a title before the Cavs in the next 4 seasons?

If neither team wins a title.....it's a push.

Nope. You are too emotional to see how it looks to most observers. And understandably so.

If he doesn't win a title ever again it won't help him much but most fans already think of him as a guy unafraid to change teams. Astute observers know LA is ready to strike in one more year.

No only you'll think he'll look like a "colossal asshole" because you're pissed he left. You ain't fooling anyone wiggy. You never said a negative word about him until he went to the Lakers. And now all of the sudden you're being critical about him? Too damn funny.
