Clint Capela is out of his mind

4 yr/100. Take your 15 mil yearly

Sources told ESPN that the Rockets' initial offer to Capela was in the four-year, $60 million range, with the blossoming star center seeking a deal similar to Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams' four-year, $100 million contract.

obviously thinks he's better than he actually is...

The Rockets brief time as the #2 team in the West was put on notice once Lebron came west. The absence of a 3&D SF next to Har_en will hurt them more than you think.

Agree. I see Ariza as the Rockets version of Iggy. Not s star, but he knows his role, stays in it and does a lot of the things that don't necessarily show up on stat sheets, but that have to be done if you want to win.

Losing Mbah a Moute hurts because, he may have been able to be the guy that replaced some of what Ariza does.

Yeah, he's asking for too much money too soon, imo. He looked good, but did he look good because he's that good...or because of the attention teams had to pay to Harden and CP3?

James may show up at a few locations.

Pretty much guaranteed to make money if you invest in whatever James is involved with if you get in early enough.

He makes more sense than them because of the defense and toughness, Hood makes sense because he's more of the SF size(even though most of his minutes have been at SG), and Lavine would only make sense if they think he can be a #1 or #2 guy on a winning team.

I agree.

Not going to lie.....that has crossed my mind a few times since James signed with the Lakers.

Didn't say anything because I'd get rippied and it'd be the ultimate reality TV show with all the players they have signed.

Lakers could make a run at Capela if they move Deng's contract, but they haven't indicated that interest.

Wack Wiggity disagrees.

But, what does a Cavs fan know about defense?

MJ isn't trying to make the Hornets competitive.....he's just a businessman.

He bought the Hornets for 275 million in 2010. They are now worth more than 1 billion and he owns 90% of the team.

It is estimated he has made 1.9 billion in his career between salary and endoresements. The most ever for an athlet

Wow.

Holy shit.

14-16 million is what I was thinking and that'd be a huge pay increase.

Houston didn't value him and thinks he's replaceable.

They are about to find out it isn't that easy.

Apparently Matt Barnes has decided that smoking crack is a great way to spend his free time.

Maybe if Kobe didn't tear his Achilles, he tries to do the MJ thing and come back for a season or 2 at 175 years old. But not after that injury.

I will make a bet with you now on any of a few things

A. that Houston will finish higher in the standings than the Lakers

B. that Houston will advance farther than the Lakers in the playoffs

C. that the Lakers are- AT BEST- the 4 seed in the West. Right now I think they will be somewhere between the 5th and 7th if i had to guess

D. that LeBron misses time at some point during the season like he did season 1 in Cleveland- like about 2 weeks give or take. He just got done playing an 82 game regular season schedule for the first time in his career and then went on to have an absolutely INSANE workload in the postseason.

obviously thinks he's better than he actually is...
he is still really young and can improve- but unless he gets a great shot, how much can he really improve?

he is in a situation very similar to what TT Was in Cleveland---- The Cavs know no one else can outbid them but TT wanted more than they were offering saying he would wait and leave the next year. Its the same with Capela- no one can outbid the rockets since no one that has cap room wants him- but he can threaten to try and leave next year-- neither side has the motivation to moveo n their number right now.

My guess is that Capela signs for between 55 and 65M for 3 years.
