Klentak makes a new deal! Phillies signed reliever Andrew Bailey. Former 2010 rookie of the year for the A's.
He has pitched for the Yankees and Red sox as well. But he has only pitched in 39 games the last 4 years. He injured his shoulder and has never healed right. Perhaps some Phillies cheese steaks will set him right!
I am sorry I doubted Klentak. I am humbled
Wow. We just really hurt our environment by killing all those trees for the playoff tickets that we won't need. It's already 50 degrees outside in December, then Klentak does this to us.
If you're going to be in, be ALL in.....
I guess there's a limit to how many middle age pitchers you can have at any given time. Maybe they need to bring back the Philadelphia A's to use as a place to stockpile live arms.
Well if there is a limit, they need to release Mujica, Bailey, Hernandez, Stumpf, and Mariot and just re-sign Chad Qualls and have him pitch every game from the 6th inning on regardless of the score. It would cost less money, and we could avoid the shitty reliever "cap."
Plus he'll probably give the same ERA singlehandedly as all those other relievers combined
The problem with a 6 man rotation means that you have one less bullpen arm. We will need all the pen armsTrue. I also read about people suggesting they go to a 6 man rotation this year.
