Thats what happens when you're one of the worst teams in NFL history. We've improved but from 08 to 12 we were freakin terrible. I think in smaller markets you're more susceptible to this than if you're in a bigger market like NY or LA. Look at the Raiders. They've sucked forever and their fans show up.

Look at the Bills though; haven't been to the playoffs since the 90's, but their lowest average attendance (62694 in 2011) in the past 5 years is about 95% the sold-out capacity in St. Louis, despite St Louis having approx 1M more households in the blackout zone. Cold weather, no dome, no playoffs, better fan support.

Thats because there's nothing to do in Buffalo.

Some fans are more loyal. Stl is a baseball town. Not football.
New York has a really solid sports fan base. For baseball and football. You can't compare the two

Personally this is a nonissue for me. I would prefer the Rams stay in St. Louis because I live in Missouri. Its kind of cool. But I had no problem following the team in LA. Should they move to moose dip Idaho I would continue to follow them. I do believe the issue needs to be addressed because it only further divides the fan base at this time.

Of course we're at the bottom in value. The stadium is old and outdated and our merchandising is horrible since we've been a bad team for so long.

Will you still be blaming baseball in November and December? Buffalo is also a loyal NHL town. Baseball team is only AAA though.
