Went to watch the games this morning and found out that DirecTV lost it's local fox channels (for now). I'll need to download the app.

I've been thinking for a while that this is the World Cup where a European team gets the win but I think those teams (France, Germany and England) are all on the same side of the draw - opposite side to the US. Can't see the Americans not at least making the final.

I'm uncertain. If they put Rodman at the 9 and keep Smith at the wing... My money would be on Rodman.

Correct and all three have had missteps in the lead up to the WC plus, like the USA, are having injury problems. England with 2 starters out, France one and perhaps 2, they lost someone else in the tourney I thought I read. Germany has been pretty much unscathed by injury.

Tough to win the golden boot coming off the bench. I think it's Smith or Morgan and bet both. But, who knows, that's why they call it gambling. I did bet her to score 2 goals the first match as I think they will be rotating a little earlier in a blowout

Maybe it's just me but I'm not sure the opening statement was exactly what this tweet seems to try and portray

What was she attempting exactly? She was so far off the post that I thought at first she tried to fake and bring it back up the middle behind her. I guess she didn't really look up and find he target or something. Almost got the rebound though.

As far as the US 3 peating I can't see them doing it. I'd love it but I just don't see it. The talent the rest of the world has caught up to the US

She went into it thinking, "No problem, I can make this easily" and it showed. It was god awful! Fortunately it didn't cost them but that is an example as to why I don't see them 3 peating. Agree, but for some reason I just can’t bring myself to root for them. Recently I have watched a couple of interviews with Trinity Rodman, and I like her, but I’m just not a big fan of Rapinoe…

I will always root for them but I won't feel "as bad" if they don't repeat. I mean they don't have the same squad and aren't gelling yet. Swanson not there hurts big time and that will put a ton of pressure of Smith and Rodman. Now can they do it, sure but it will be hard.

Rapinoe aside I still will root for them

They still have one game left but they can not advance since they lost both their matches. Only top 2 in each group advance and Ireland with the loss today knocks them into 3rd and maybe even 4th place in that group
