I have to ask though, why even bring in Temple? He single handedly let Portland back into the game. The guy looked awful in his few minutes last night.

lol... a fantasy league here at the Hoop involving vcash? I hadn't heard of such a thing but for all I know there might be one in the college forums. (I never go to them) The only vcash betting that I know of goes on at the SportsHoopla Bookie page towards the bottom of the main screen (somewhere around the Politics Forum). Other than that, the NFL board had some pick'ems during the season for vcash, but I didn't see any fantasy league stuff. Unless.... it's in that fantasy football forum? (I don't go there either)

lol.. the "final boss"

Wizards vs. Spurs pregame: The final boss - Hoop District

"The Wizards have won games because they’ve played great defense. That defense has led to a good flow on offense. That’s because they’ve turned turnovers into transition points. They scored 18 points in transition against Portland as opposed to six for the Trail Blazers. They crowded the opposition at the top of the arc in the OKC game, forcing turnovers and fast-break points. If they thought playing defense against Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Alridge and Damian Lillard was hard, think again.

The Spurs are like the final boss in a video game. The last level bad guy. The final bad guy isn’t the strongest, or the fastest, but he’s the smartest. Hopefully our young guys like Beal and Wall and watching and rewinding the film ad nauseum prior to tonight’s tip-off. They can’t just come out here and hope to catch on; they need to know what’s going to happen before it happens. Washington has allowed an average of 85.3 ppg in its last three wins against offensive powerhouses like Golden State, Oklahoma, and Portland. That could be the magic number tonight."

:hope:

With the EFFORT demonstrated over the past 3 games, I have to commend the Wiz for how they are playing and likely should see their win total reach 42-45 games by seasons end. A nice run of 4-5 wins would certainly help the cause.

Oh man, if they'd won that Spurs game.. they had their chances! Tim Duncan just caught fire in the 3rd quarter. And I definitely didn't expect it to go the second OT. :sigh: Would've been so nice to come away with a W on that one...

And then we drop a game to the lowly Cavs. What is with this team?

2 of the Cav's 6 wins on the road have been against us! :gaah:

I guess this means when we play at Cleveland later this month, we'll win there.. again.

Wiz are definitely in a strange place right now. We can beat anyone.. and lose to anyone.

I didn't see the CAVs game but with the Spurs game....IMO i'd say some of it is coaching too. I think the coach is finding himself in situations where he has to know when to call timeouts and when to just play it out.

Like when Wall got the steal to force overtime, Coach should have called time after he let Wall just keep gunning after that. Granted Beal got hurt but...It has to be complete effort. When your players are drowning, sometimes they really do need a hand.

42-40 on the year....these guys are just unpredictable.
OR whatever = 5 seed in the playoffs

Another disappointing loss to the Grizz... I guess we are what we are until we get a true star 4 man in this lineup or a long 3 SF to take over games. Ariza and Nene are not those guys unfortunately.

yeah, it looks like Beal single-handedly kept them in the game. I am *very* curious to see how we'll come out tonight versus the red-hot Rockets.
