We kept it close, I guess. I know, I know, I should be expecting more.. but I had a feeling that game in Houston was going to be a tough one.

Toronto is a bitch to play. Such a horrible matchup for the Wiz.

On another note, this will be 3 straight losses and 5 out of the last 6. A second half collapse would not be awesome.

Had it been that long? And I see the Raptors turned right around, went home and lost to the Bulls.

3-8 positioning for the playoffs is going to be so screwy this year.

So a rental on a 37 yr old back up PG. Wow, just wow! The draft of Vesley & Co was a total failure. How does a GM keep his job after such disappointment?

God, please don't let Miller get anything close to 'disgruntled' with this team. Kinda get the feeling that team chemistry is pretty important, particularly with this season's team, and I don't want that derailed. The whole "veteran mentoring" angle.... are you guys buying that as a plus? That might have been great for Wall in his rookie season... but this ain't his rookie season. Biggest value here is if Wall gets a reprieve in minutes and his legs stay fresh for the postseason.

Jan and Eric weren't getting much (if any) playing time, granted. Hoping the 4.6 mill owed to Miller for next season and the 2nd round draft pick we gave up to the 6ers are worth it. I'm lukewarm and optimistic... as long as the tempo of the game isn't too drastic when Miller takes the floor that it ends up affecting everyone else, I'll see this as a plus.

Looking at the schedule, I see a lot of teams we can beat at home or on the road. What record would you be satisfied with looking at the next, say, 12 games?

I say 7 and I fully expect us to win some a game or two against top-notch competition and lose a game or two to a cellar dweller. In true Wiz fashion.

We gave up a 2nd round pick and sent Jan Vesely to the Nugs & Eric Maynor to the 6ers. The 6ers will pick up the 2.1 M option on Maynor in exchange for the draft pick.

Nene of Washington Wizards out 6 weeks with knee injury - ESPN

The oft-injured Nene was acquired in a trade in March 2012, and the Wizards are a different team when he's healthy. They are 60-61 with him and 8-34 without him, including 1-6 this season when he was dealing with a nagging right Achilles tendon.

Atleast we have an easy enough schedule in the near future. Still.. we're a different team without him. Really hope Miller's contribution helps offset that a little bit.
