Game Thread: Wild @ Blue Jackets 12/6

I was going to be at this one in person, but mother nature had other ideas about that...

... But at least I get it on GCL, which is something of a surprise since I live only three hours away (I live just as close to Detroit & Chicago, & I usually can't get those games).

So; lets go Wild!

I live in NV so I have very few chances to go to a game any more and I refuse to go to HP Pavilion in San Jose for a game because their fans are true asshats but can't wait to get home and watch it. Stuck at work is it's DVR'd.

The Jackets looked pretty good there, outshooting Minny & completely shutting down their one PP (The Wild returned the favor a bit later in the period).

0-2 Jackets after Foligno scores on the PP.

The Wild are in real danger of letting this game get away from them: They can't even get a glimpse of the Jackets' end of the ice ATM.

If you've read my prior 3 posts, then it's needless to say that Columbus has dominated this period.

I'm not prepared to say that Minny is exhausted from playing last night, because they don't seem to be lacking hustle: It's just that the Jackets are playing really well tonight.

Jenner scores for the Jackets. Columbus has outshot Minny 31-17 so far.

It's safe to say that the rout is on: Umberger scores after Columbus steals the puck at mid ice & makes a fast break for the goal.

Backstrom is getting his @ss handed to him tonight.

Final score: 0-4 Columbus.

Not one of our better games, to be sure.

All due credit to the Jackets for a good 60 minute effort on their part.
