Seems to bother Lance quite a bit that some in here don't like LeBoner - but I think the guy is arrogant and self centered. I did not care for how he left Cleveland the first time, I thought it was done in poor taste and then bragged about he was going to win 7 titles straight - In the last decade he has always been at "look at me attitude" - His childhood, youth is irrelevant really to the discussion - Many people had humble beginnings, but then became disliked as adults because of what they became and if fans don't like what they see as a man - that's their right

Doesn't bother me at all that people don't like his personality. That isn't what this thread is about.

He is a good man, and some on here act like he is a criminal because of a few minor PR errors. Yeah he is arrogant. Every great athlete is arrogant. It kind of comes with the territory. Some just hide it better than others.

Yeah I don't see how an immature TV show about changing teams and (correctly) being very sure of himself as a player negates all that and makes him unlikable. I literally do not see that point of view at all. People have different opinions than me on a million things, and I can usually see where they're coming from. Not on this.

Again, it's not about the Lebron the person. He's obviously overcome a good bit and he has been giving back to his community. Which a lot of players do.

But let's not pretend that there aren't more reasons to not like him beyond "The Decision."

No one is required to like everyone and it doesn't matter if you are a good man, some one sooner or later is not going to like you - same thing with the NBA players. Now it might not be logical, but you can't make every one like you or like your hero. And for what it's worth - the more a person cries about some one else disliking his favorite hero, only makes him a target.

Everyone will always hate the 'best'

Tom Brady, Michael Shumacher in F1 and Christiano Ronaldo in soccer are some of the most hated athletes ever.

And ultimately...that's how it works.

Being hated, scrutinized and questioned is part of being a great player.

Pretty much every great player in every sport is hated as much as he is loved. Not really sure why some feel the need to constantly defend him?

There are always going to be those who take their hate a bit too far and try to claim the player isn't as good as he actually is or want to take their hate beyond "sports hate."

But those people aren't to be taken seriously anyway.
