I get what you are saying. And the fact that he is under constant scrutiny and this does not reveal any skeletons in his closet is certainly commendable in an age where most celebrities and athletes do not seem to care. However, having grown up and lived 25-30 mins from the Akron area there are a few items that need to be corrected. Yes, James grew up poor, but he was far from homeless. In fact, much of his teenaged life was spent living with a coach who took guardianship of him. His mother was notorious for "pimping" him out for her own benefits which continued into the early years of his career. Second, while in high school he was already receiving benefits of a world class athlete. He got a free education from St. Vincent-St. Mary, a private school in Akron. Second, he was also driving a brand new Hummer (when Hummers were a thing) courtesy of a school booster.

I agree that hating him as a person because of your fanship is wrong, but I also think letting the legend of him pulling himself up by his bootstraps single handedly is not right either.
I simply think it doesn't matter who likes him or hates him. It is irrelevant to me if some one doesn't like LeBron - It doesn't hurt me and it doesn't help me. I have the right to like or hate any player I with to like or dislike. If someone else doesn't like it - tough shit

My point is this - Little LeBron fans keeps posting how awful it is or "unjustified" it is to hate LeBron, but point is why does anyone care?
Well no one really cares. I never liked Magic and thought he was an overrated baboon.

But thats just my opinion

1. So what if LeBron grew up poor - so what, so did a lot of other people and he wasn't the only one to marry his high school sweet heart. He may be honest, and all of that shit, but he is conceited, arrogant and claims to be something he isn't. He is not the King - he is merely a basketball player in the NBA like the hundreds of other players that have been there and done that. He is not the first player to be the best player in the NBA in his years in the NBA and he is not the greatest of all time ever. The reason that people hate him is because of his arrogance.

2. Hating LeBron may be unjustified to you being that you're too busy slurping his nuts, but in the eyes of those that don't like LeBron - It is justified and it really does not matter what the LeBron slurpers don't like or call unjustified.

3. Get over it already - It's not like the dude did anything in his life for you.

Really lame post.

Everyone will always hate the 'best'

Tom Brady, Michael Shumacher in F1 and Christiano Ronaldo in soccer are some of the most hated athletes ever.

When he was in elementary school, he moved dozens of times sleepy on couches of his mothers acquaintances. There was a period of a few years where that was his life. He finally got some stability once he began living with coaches. That wasn't until he was a little older.

I remember this one guy on the ESPN boards who hated Kobe - Called himself Cholo and if you said anything good about Kobe - he was ready to kill

Not saying he didn't face challenges. However, he also benefited greatly

Really lame thread

That might be your best post post of all time.

Congrats.

If the thread is lame, don't post in it.

It is one thing to dislike him. But he is a good person. Many on here call out his character, and that is BS.

No it's not - it's a message board that is public and they have the right to voice their opinions just like you don't - If you don't like their opinion - then don't read their opinions. That works both ways.

If you start lame threads - then expect to get called out for your bullshit

Dude. People literally call you potato head because 85% of your posts are like they are written by someone from another planet. You shouldn't be calling anybody out. Worry about yourself.

Nice deflection by the way - since you didn't have a legitimate response to my prior statement - you attack me instead.

People like who they want to and they hate who they want to and in the NBA - some one is always going to be hated.
Whatever - that's their right
