UW has a difficult time recruiting compared to the likes of USC seeing how there isn't a 4* under every rock in Washington state like California has and USC has UW beat big time on natty's, Heisman's, etc ... With that said coaches like Shaw and Petersen have no inclination of jumping to the NFL. Shaw's wife has her tenure @ Stanford and he's happy with what he's doing and being happy is a big part of it for him. That and he's making a shitload of money. Petersen wouldn't make it in the NFL imo. He'd flip out and have a heart attack the first time one of those fvktards kneeled for the national anthem.
For some reason I don’t picture Peterson as someone ripping his players for kneeling but you know him better than I do.

4.87 per year is the highest in the PAC? Wow.
I think Nebraska is still paying more than that to coaches who they fired.
The PAC is a broke ass conference compared to the likes of the B1G and SEC. The PAC commish (Larry Scott) is about as useful as tits on a nun.

That’s also why unless you play for USC or have a an absolute stat machine that the media loves like Mariota, it’s near impossible to get Heisman votes.
That and the PACwhatever isn't very credible.

The voting system is still flawed. You think Billy Bob in Tuscaloosa watches anything west of Mississippi? And he gets to vote? It’s silly.

David Shaw is probably Stanford for life unless he gets an incredible NFL offer. I think Peterson has a good tenure with Washington and then gets lured away by one of the big boys.

I’m talking tier 1 big boys of which Washington is not.

Pretty sure that both USC and Texas have pursued him at various points.

Texas has had a rough patch, but I'd still say that's one of the best jobs in college football.

I'm obviously very biased, but I honestly can't see him leaving UW anytime soon. He doesn't seem like the type to just hop from school to school. Took him a while to even leave Boise State.

Khalil Tate will probably get jipped of a Heisman this season. :dhd:

PAC-12 is at a serious disadvantage for Heisman candidates. A lot of our conference games kick-off at 7PM PST, which is 10PM on the East Coast.

People don't see players like Bryce Love or Khalil Tate play as much as they should.

This is something that isn't talked about frequently, but if you've been on campus at USC, you can understand why an 18 year old boy would want to sign there.

It's another world on campus there. Everyone comes from a super wealthy family and a UW 8/10 is a USC 5/10.

It would be difficult to lure a prospect away from USC.

He ain't leaving the left coast. Probably not leaving the Northwest.

Dam this thread turned into a PAC 12 pillow fight fast.

Now time for Iowa and Wisconsin to jump in. :humble:

Yeah, we get it.
That’s why Nebraska is paying them to be somewhere else.

Petersen stayed with Boise State until after his kids were out of school, but he had done about as much as he could there and left for a bigger challenge.

If he brings a championship or two and feels there's something more he can prove elsewhere, I won't complain. Would he leave before winning one? Who knows. Feels like he wants to ride this out, but crazy offers that bring guaranteed 5* kids before he even makes a phone call has to be tempting at some point.
