He can say what he wants but even Magic won't sign that check. It's just posturing. He might as well say $400M over 12 years. No one is going to do it but he's hoping to be buying a place up on Mulholland with the $200M the Dodgers give him.
Terrible contracts aren't that uncommon, he probably just wants to be on the list of other players that received way more than they should've. And, it only takes one GM to sign him for a boatload of money. That being said, he's not going to get what he's looking for and he probably even knows that.
