I'm voting for 3 or 4. UCF will eventually make the playoffs...blind monkeys with typewriters and all that, and Texas will eventually be back, but neither of those happens before Oklahoma wins a playoff game or someone else wins the ACC.

What does "back" mean for Texas? Is that a Big 12 title appearance? Starting in the top 25 and also finishing in the top 25? CFP appearance?

No way UCF makes the playoff because there's no way any G5 team will make the playoff in it's current format. Clemson is going to own the ACC until Miami or Virginia Tech come back from sucking. Tater Salad will NEVER not be the official side dish of the Hoop. So, OU winning a playoff game wins by default until clarification is made about what "back" means for Texas.

I think the best hope is for FSU to get their shit together. Miami and Va Tech have a longer road in my opinion.

#2 and 4 are probably 3 years away from potentially happening. So, Oklahoma has 3 years to win a playoff game before any of the others having a chance to happen.

I think it will take FSU a lot longer to get their shit together than Virginia Tech. FSU has been on a downward spiral for the last 3-4 years. I will say, though, Foster leaving VT might have a HUGE negative effect on them next year. Only time will tell though,

If they had talent on the roster, they would've finished with more than 6 wins this year. Coaches aren't changing to seems like their records won't either. FSU went 2-2 with Odell and didn't look impressive in their 2 wins or in their bowl game. Only saving grace for Miami is that this was Manny's first year. Could definitely improve but FSU has more problems to work out than Miami does.

Agree, IMO FSU will be back fairly soon and be back at the top now that they have a decent coach again.

Also, another good poll idea would be what side dish SOULD take potato salad's spot..
