I am fine with the deal and will keep him around a few years. I am curious to see if the Astros pay any of his salary in the deal and who would go to the Astros.

Yeah after his 1st AB that is interesting. Well not too sure I am excited to let Hanson go for Rodriguez but if the Astros take on a lot of the salary it is much better.

Speculation that they're going hard for Pence too. I'm all for that. He'd be a HUGE upgrade over having Sutton in the field, or Presley/Gorkys at the plate.

I really couldn't care less how much of contract the Astros ate.

This is an awful deal, IMO, no matter how you slice it.

Yeah just trying to find a silver lining. 3 of their top 20 prospects for him is way too much (not to mention probably there top 2 left handed prospects).
