As much as I believe we SHOULD be sellers, it won’t happen. We could get decent returns for Pedo and/or Rodon, but outside of Williams (30 years ago), I don’t remember the last STAR leaving us in a trade. McCutchen doesn’t count as he was a shell of his former self when we traded him (only a few months after we bought him at Star prices, btw).

Rodon should be an automatic. He’s not happy here and will walk after the season. Get something while we can.

Most of the rumor I hear about Soto include Webb going back in the package.

If that is the case, why bother? It will be a case of watching the SF Soto’s finish 3rd or 4th in the division every year. No thank you.

Also the more obvious reason, money. He bet on himself, if he finishes strong he goes and gets some security with a 3-4 year deal on a team that can hit.

FZ would be making a mistake if he doesn't deal him. Take advantage of a year you can just not 'try' super hard or go all in, but you aren't terrible either.
