I don't think there's ever a good night to play 17 innings, but with Lisalverto Bonilla scheduled to start today it's bad timing. He wasn't pitching great in AAA, so it's hard telling how many he'll go. Depending on the circumstance, he could be taking one for the team.

Hopefully he pitches well.

I gave in after the 11th. Baserunning mistakes are not pretty but that was some ba-dass pitching on both teams. Still liking Wandy and Renzo.

The bullpen was used but not abused, thanks to Feldy. I think most of these guys can go an inning today and Iglesias didn't go at all. Now, what happens if Lizzy gets shelled? Um ... no way Price could have fixed this one.

I would have loved to see a game like that, when I was in my 20's. but not anymore. just uses up the bullpen.

I don't know if I would want to see it in MLB. But I liked how the WBC did it. If the game went to 11 innings they started the 11th with runners on 1st and 2nd.

I saw the WBC run in action in the American Association for one year. It was pretty much a joke because it was bunt a guy over and hit a ground ball. It didn't shorten the games or achieve much but it was interesting. There aren't enough 12-inning games to warrant it, frankly.
