NCST has looked like crap so far (thats what a glennon gives you) but they did just score!

Tj graham (ncst wr) is fast as hell.

That's what happens when you let your star QB go to Wisconsin and put all of your faith in an untested QB. I wonder how different NCSU's seaosn would have been if they kept R. Wilson.

It was a little more complicated than that. Coach O'Brien needed Wilson to make a decision in a timely fashion as to whether or not he intended to play football at NCST or go on and play pro baseball. Wilson couldn't make up his mind about either one by the time limit, so O'Brien assumed Wilson was going to play pro baseball. He then made the decision to back Glennon as his starter.

Sometime after that, Wilson finally decided he wanted to play football, but that door was closed at NCST. So, having already graduated from NCST and with one year of football eligibility remaining, he started the process of finding a new team. He chose Wisconsin.

Wilson looks like the winner at this point because Wisconsin is 3-0 and looks like a world-beater. But Wisconsin always looks good early in the season...let's see what they have by the end of the year.

On the other hand, O'Brien is already taking a beating for the decision to go with Glennon...a pure drop-back passer....when the NCST offense was used to utilizing a highly mobile dual-threat QB. That looks very similar to the dilemma our coaches faced when trying to decide between TT and Sean.

Will it cost O'Brien his job? I guess that depends on how bad NCST's W_L record is by the end of the year. Frankly, I'm not very hopeful.

Wilson is a quality quarterback, but let's not forget that he also has significant flaws. Those flaws also tend to show up at the worst times. NC State won some games last year, but were a losing program for Wilson's first two seasons. State would probably be better with Wilson this year, but only a game or possibly two better. There are numerous problems down there.

I think TOby is gone.

Glennon showed some promise but NCSU looked like crap. Their defense was horrid and their OLine couldn't block the sun with SPF 1000 last night.

No kidding. NCSU and MD not representing the ACC well this week and embarrassing the conference after last week was somewhat respectable.

1 step forward, 2 steps back. Time for VT to pony up that $20 mil and bolt for the SEC.

Clemson over FSU.

A few weeks ago i would have laughed if someone would have said this, but i think Clemson may be the toughest game on the schedule right now.

FSU got all self-important about how they were NC contenders without playing a single game. Funny how things work when you actually have to play.

Oops.

ACC went back to looking abysmal today. 3-4 in OOC games with VT, Duke, and BC getting the wins.

I saw this SI article over the summer ranking the top 10 coaches in college football. While Beamer was omitted, Brian Kelly and Jimbo Fisher (gosh they are so good!) made the list. HA

Fisher just has so much talent to juggle that it makes it more difficult to coach. That has to be the reason

Navy up 6 (after a blocked extra point backed up by an Unsportsmanlike penalty) over Air Force in OT.

Miami takes out UNC 30-24, but not without having a bit of a scare. UNC scores with like 50 seconds to get within 6, they then recover the onside kick. If it weren't for a sack on the second to last play, I think they could have scored.
