I broke Ochai Agbaji games down into chunks of 26-40 minutes played. I know that is not an accurate representation of how are you doing because obviously the more minutes you play, the more tired you would be, you’re playing different teams, and so you are going to be defended differentl, and the times were you are on court in reality are based upon the game situation, and that could mean that you’re on the court when games are being blown out in a win or a loss or you are being played when the other teams star player is resting (normal opposing bench competitor is starting).

Right now he is averaging one block per infinity minutes. Some would say the same for me, but that’s not true. That’s undefined.

How come he has zero blocks in your chart?

How come he has zero blocks in your chart?

Because he has zero blocks in an NBA game so far to his career. And only one steal.

He doesn’t. It says 0.0. I was saying one block per infinity minutes, and so therefore playing forever to get one.

But enough about OJ, Agbaji finally got a block. I wonder what is the most number of minutes played without a block to start a career. Obviously, you start with short players, or at least players that are not around the rim much.

In the last 13 games, he is:

26/49 FG
15/32 3PT
4-4 FT
12 Off, 17 Def, 29 Total Reb in 259:49 minutes (7.22 Thirty-six minute games). So 4 Rebounds per 36 minutes.
1 assist Per 36. (Rookie looking for shots, not given ball handling duties.)
0.3 Steals and 0.3 blocks per 36. Defend, rookie, and you’ll get transition assists or points.
1 TO per 36.
3.3 Fouls.
+26 plus minus if that matters.

Prior games (23 games):

31/69 FGs
13/38 3PTs
6/12 FTs
11 Off, 21 Def, 32 Total Reb in 257:56 minutes (7.16 Thirty-six minute games). So ~4.45 Rebounds per 36 minutes.
1.25 assist Per 36.
0.3 Steals and 0.3 blocks per 36. Defend, rookie, and you’ll get transition assists or points.
0.4 TO per 36.
3.6 Fouls.
-12 plus minus if that matters.

Good shooting numbers.

Rebounding numbers, while they aren't the poorest among SGs, they're not helpful either. If he could raise it to being a slightly below average rebounder, instead of a well below average, it would be better.

Good low turnover numbers.

No assists, but that is fine. Right now he knows how to shoot, and not turn it over. There is value in that.

All things considered, he does look like a legit 11th man. As opposed to being someone who shouldn't be playing NBA minutes.

Poor shooting numbers. Poor FT shooting.

Not turning it over was the best thing he did.

I would say based on this stretch, he was not a NBA player. Even if his 3-point % is decent, everything else was so poor.

And that defensive goaltending might have cost him several games of trust, from Hardy.
