Shame that Scooter had the best night of his career and sat out the next game. Oh well, that's why these guys don't want to sign on as a utility player. I think Scoots has a promise when Cozart is dealt. Or if.

It'll be interesting to see how the Reds handle Scooter and Dilson Herrera moving forward.

Scooter will be 28 in a couple weeks and isn't a free agent until 2020.

Herrera has 6 years of team control, but is running out of assignment options.

Schebler seems to be pressing and that's not necessary. He can just make ground ball contact and help this offense, which is better than I have seen since even before the 2010 season

I think Scott Schebler has a job on this 25 man roster, but it may eventually be a part time, LH power bench bat role.

Suarez played better defensively the second half last season, but he's really making it look easy through the first 9 games.

BA knows how to get people out. We all knew that.
What bothers me is that he didn't pitch himself into shape. He was given the ball and a slot in the rotation. Now, everyone in spring works into shape but none of the other guys are coming off 2 years of arm surgery.

I get it about Bronson being a stopgap guy. I think we could have gotten a better stop-gap guy or at least have told Bronson to throw a couple of games for the Bats before he came to Cincy.

The Reds have called up Jesse Winker and optioned Barrett Astin back to AAA. Looks like Astin will be on a yoyo between Cincinnati and Louisville.

Interested to see if he's in the lineup tonight.

Reds need a lefty bench bat who's better than Al-Can't-Ara. Really, this isn't a big roster move, it's more like just seeing if Winker can handle himself, I suppose. He may get some ABs if Schebler keeps stinking.

Astin is in a long list of guys who are the 14th best pitcher depending on which inning it is.

Expect an official announcement that Sal Romano will pitch Sunday in Rookie's spot.
He's on the 40-man so no roster juggling will have to happen.

The bullpens implosion last night ended what has been a dominant start to the season. Streaks often end with a crash and burn.

The Reds have returned home and apparently left their offense on the road. Very few scoring opportunities last night.

According to Price's comments Jesee Winker is most likely up for two days and swapped out for Romano.

Romano had a great ST and kept it rolling into Louisville. Hopefully his third stop is a charm as well.

Finny probably will get a 10-day stint, which would mean probably Adleman gets a call.
No guesses on what they intend to do with the rest of this pitching mess.
Winker may be up for awhile since it looks like they will need more pinch hitters.
