Utah doesnt have the offense. They will get caught. Amazingly, they are 10th in TOtal offense and 6th in total defense in the Pac. They are winning on an absurd +2 turnover margin per game. They are doing it through special teams and turnovers. I am not sure they can sustain that.

For whatever reason FURD started slow out the gate. Personally I think they would destroy NW
Interesting!!

Thats what I said. Then I laughed it off.

What is so appealing about a team with a high potent offense and nothing else?

Cals finishing with 3 losses minimum.

Utahs offense is fine. They have one of the best RBs in the nation and a very savvy QB.

I'd take their offense over most p5 teams...

Well, there are 9 in the PAC that are more productive. Not sure what you are trying to say here

I don't really care what stats say at this point. Utahs played a pretty damn tough schedule thus far, and guess what? They won, over and over. They are also recognized for having one of the best RBs in the country and a damn good QB.

Their offense isnt in any kind of danger of being caught, whatever that implies.

So what I'm saying here is, I'll take their o over most p5 teams, stats be damned.

...if we look at team efficiency ratings, Utahs offense is 26th in the nation and 5th in the pac.

They are a very balanced team in all 3 aspects.

Defense 75.5
offense 69.1
Special teams 65.8

They fine. Still going to lose to FURD tho, if they make it to the CCG...

Why is Utaw playing South Carolina in Louisiana? Is the flooding still that bad in South Carolina?

Yeah, it was cute how all you SEC'ers think SC means South Carolina in the world of college football.

I think both defense and offense are actually fine. S&p+ numbers are both in the 25-30 range as units. Defense being helped by turnover numbers. I think special teams are off the charts. I just don't trust a team that doesn't have an elite unit.I am not convinced the schedule has been great. Michigan is good and they got them at home. Cal is the Texas Tech of the Pac. Defense is dredful, good offense. Sadly, I am not sure beating Oregon is very meaningful

SC IS the abbrev. for South Carolina, in the world of college football, out of the world of college football or the world up your ass, smartass.

Trust them for what though? I mean both Cal and Oregone have elite offenses, and Utah beat them both. Beat 0regone like a drum mind you...

I've already said I don't think Utah is a playoff team. But looking into things a little more here tonight, and I think they might actually be better than I originally thought.

Time will tell.

I personally like a well balanced team, emphasizing D and ST but having an efficient O. It's what I grew up watching in the Don James years. It's the type of football I love.
