Did anyone else notice where this years first round RB went to this year?

Does anyone else what to pick on a certain fan on here for his team drafting a RB in the first round?

Unless it's a special talent like Barkley I don't see any reason to draft a RB in the first round. There are really only a few backs that are real difference makers, most can be lumped into the same group and they can be found later in the draft.

Or free agency. Broncos top 2 backs were undrafted and the free agent 1st round pick of some other lowly franchise.

Its crazy Jonathan Taylor is still available. But it depends on which team. If its a team cold-oriented, likes to run alot, he's going to flourish.

look, i personally wouldn't use a 1st on a RB but it's hard to question the Chiefs drafts the last few years. They seem to know what they're doing.

If you're drafting at the tail end of the draft and can upgrade the spot with a high-end guy, why not? He's gonna be pretty cheap, and you also get that 5th year option so you don't have to re-sign him as early. The Chiefs really didn't have any other major spots to upgrade, so I liked it. He (and probably the other top 2-3 RBs) probably won't be there at 63.

Yeah I can see the very last pick for a team with few holes but this is the exception.

If I'm a team like KC or SF who has so much talent all over the place, I think it makes sense. Getting that extra 5th year is really nice.

It actually really does. Then again they can start bitching their third year in and start holding out, ( insert Zek here)

The best part is that they didn't even pick a top three player at the position available.

For what KC needs, I think he is the best. They don't need a pass protector, they need someone who can get lost behind the line and catch passes. So it was either CEH or Dobbins, and CEH is the better receiver.

Don't love the pick, but pretty damn good for end of the 1st round.
