Rushing averages

2017- 3.6 YPC, 30th
2016- 4.5 YPC, 9th...but 21in yards. We were ranked there because nobody thought we would run.
2015- 3.7, 30th

Yes - if healthy - this will be a completely different set of players or at least one w/ less change. I never said that it would be effective overall - just different. A healthy line gives them a lot more hope. Now the loss of Guice for this season makes it problematic but who knows.

I just don't think that you can base any of the line play on last season. Way too many unknowns at this time to know how this will unfold. We will see.

In 2016 he was injured.
In 2017 he did not "fit" with New Orleans and traded to AZ.
In 2017 in AZ, he did have a few good games with leagues worst O-Line.
In 2018, I see him contributing to a rotation in which he will be our best run downs producer.

The other is...

In 2015 he was already a one dimensional rb in decline who got by solely on a high volume of carries.
In 2016 he was absolutely atrocious before suffering a serious injury.
In 2017 he failed miserably on a team that thrived running the ball with its other 2 backs then went to a new team and continued to play poorly while also missing time to injury.
In 2018... we'll see... maybe he can help. Maybe he's not even good enough to make the team.

here is my version

what are we losing here ? if he is a RB in decline it will show up on the field and we cut him

there is no guaranteed money involved so we arent hurt with the cap (he counts 630,000 against it if he sticks )

are we worried kelley's carries will be hurt ? huh ?

and if he cant beat out perine most likely he will be let go

i am not seeing much of a downside . unless you cant live without kelley's 2.3 yds per carry

if you are looking for a 1200 yd runner he isnt your guy . if you think he gets about 6-800 in a RB by committee role he should get that
