Minny will be another good test for Otto tomorrow.
During this last month and a half of the season he's one of the guys I'm particularly interested in watching.
Could really solidify his position in the starting lineup, but has to continue to get that ERA down and cut down on the walks.

I’m a little surprised Sam Huff completely fell out of the rangers top 30 prospects..
He has 17 hrs in 200 AB with AAA. That’s a 50 HR pace over 600 AB.
He’s hit fairly well at the major league level in the sporadic way the have used him..
Once he comes up again he needs to play damn near every day. I’d be happy if he hit .250/.320/.480 with 35 HRS
He may have spent too much time up here to be considered a prospect any longer.

You can count on Perez' camp mentioning that in negotiations.
if i were Perez i would think twice before resigning. he is pitching with all his heart and soul and getting no support from the guys behind him.

Nobody knows where they had it last
and in a follow-up report the Rangers report that the airlines reports that their offense was sent to an unknown city and it may be days before they find it. last ETA was October 7th

well i think when they bring up Jung and Garver (who i don't see them moving on from) we could see Taveras, Semien, Seager, Garcia, Lowe, Jung, Heim, Garver, White/Thompson as our batting order and that's a lot better offense than we have now. then we need to fix the BP and SP

The fact that they are only 26-17 in games started by Gray and Perez is very telling also.

Just a question not being snarky but how is that a lot better? Garver was in the lineup until a week after the AS break and Jung is the only one who hasn't been in the lineup at some point. How is it going to be a lot better. Jung can make it some better but I dont see it as a "LOT" better

Gotta take away 800 AB from Miller/Culberson/Calhoun/Calhoun/Solak/Ibanez

Add in Jung and a healthy Garver. A better version of Semien most likely. More experienced versions of Duran and Smith..
Throw in one more bat, possibly..

and he was suffering with that Flexon injury that affected not throwing but hitting too so i'm going to believe that his hitting will markedly improved. now Jung is a faith thing but watching his numbers since he came back make me believe in him. plus compared to Miller, Culberson and Calhoun they are a lot better improvement

Still seems like hopes and dreams to me....I dont see it being a whole lot better.

Jung will help. (we think, he hasn't had an MLB AB yet) Who knows what Garver will be. When will he be 100% and he's gonna have been away from baseball for quite awhile. While Miller Culberson and Calhoun haven't been good, we haven't seen a whole lot, out of most of the young guys, other than an improvement from Taveras and how long did that take? Will the other young guys take that long to develop?

Nothing is guaranteed while it wouldn't take much for this offense to be significantly better most nights, I am still not sure that gets you in contention for anything

Looking at how they are playing Duran and Smith, I am not sure they are in their plans.
