Johnny Football did something in his first game that Aaron Rodgers only accomplished for the first time in his career this week: no TDs and two INTs.

Who was it that Rodgers was facing? Can't remember....

And before that, we stopped Peyton's 51 game TD pass streak!

If we only had a QB...

Don't underrate Orton. He's completing 63% of his passes, is throwing for 250 yards a game, and averaging only a single turnover. Sometimes a wily but unspectacular vet is what you need.

Yes. Orton has been our best QB since Kelly, with only Flutie and Bledsoe to debate.

I want to start a Playoff League- with milkspiller rules

max of 8 teams

Roster QB,RB,WR,WR,TE,Flex, FLex, Defense/ST, Kicker and 1 bench spot

the first 2 rounds of the playoffs count as the first round in this league...

top 4 teams make it to the 2nd round(conference finals of real playoffs)
top 2 teams face eachother in the Super Bowl

Its a regular snake draft for the first week of the playoffs,
after each week you can drop as many players as you want and players are added by overall points.

scoring- Rushing- 1 point per 10 yards, 1 point per 3 carries
receiving- 1 point per 10 yards, 1 pont per reception
Passing- 1 point per 25 yards, 1 point per completion,-1 point per incompletion
Kicking- 3 points per FG, 1 point per XP, -1 point for missed FG or XP
Defense/ST- as standard as possible
Miscellaneous- -2 points per interception, -2 points per fumble

Actually it would not be normal snake... there would be 3rd round reversal...

Every time I heard Nate Washington on "Mic'd Up" last night, I kept waiting to hear one of his teammates telling him to STFU.

I can't help admiring Rex Ryan's chutzpah and I kinda hope he wins it all one day...

...even though if it ever happens, I know he will be insufferable. ;)

Yea Joe I seen that too. I am very curious what my favorite player of all time will do with his future. In a perfect world he gets cut by the Jets and then picked up by Miami and then rushes for 2,100 yards and has 75 catches for another 650 receiving yards and wins MVP as the Dolphins go on to win the Super Bowl in 2016.

but if he just gets cut from the Stinky jets it's a sunny day for me. He never belonged on such a miserable team like them.

Love to hear your thought big Joe Joe on where you think he will end up or if he will get picked up. Would like to hear everyone thoughts as well.

Probably a team that is otherwise close but needs a jolt for the running game. Falcons come to mind. Possibly the Rams. If he signs as a backup, he'd make sense in Chicago.

And then, of course, there are the Bills....

I don't think Johnson is going to find a very favorable market at all. . Either playing time wise nor money wise. Slightly more than veteran minimum, one year deals, and Cleveland would be his best shot at playing time, neither Crowell or West are homerun hitters, and neither are big threats in the passing game. But even there he's at best in a 3 man committee on a team that may very well be the worst collection of offensive talent in the game.

Nope, the Browns don't want him.

Ha! I wouldn't blame them either.

But seriously though. .dude has been in decline for at least 2 years now, showed very little last year even though Ivory was somewhat decent, is 30 years old and will be entering a free agent class that likely will include DeMarco Murray, CJ Spiller, DMC, Moreno, Helu, Ridley/Vareen, Leon Washington, Dunbar, among other capable RB's/scat backs, maybe even AP (although I strongly believe he's either a Vike or a Cowboy.. others need not apply). Not to mention a rookie RB class of Gurley, Gordon, Abdullah, Coleman, Yeldon, and who knows which combine sensation we haven't really heard of.

The market will be VERY limited.

At the risk of sounding Foot-esk... I wonder if CJ has been blacklisted for some reason? He's averaged a very respectable 1232 yards-per-season, and that includes last season's 663 yards behind Ivory.

I don't get it? He has real good numbers. His career YPC is 4.3!

So the Titans released him and the Jets sparingly used him. Is the decisions by these clubs lowering the value of CJ? If so, it's not like these franchises have made good personnel decisions the last few seasons.

...and if you even take out his '09 season of 2006 rushing yards, he still averages over 1K (1103.6) including last season.

His value was always as a homerun hitter based upon speed - not consistency or power. The high 'average YPC' is a product of long runs, followed by a number of short or minus runs. He was much more consistent in getting a 80 yarder years ago - now he lacks the breakout ability that lead to his high total yardage and 'average YPC'. He is not a good between the tackles runner. Albeit, he is no longer the threat he was. I think he will find a very quiet market for his faded 'talent' with so many better runners and new talent out there. Time and schemes have passed him by.

Joe I always was and will be fond of you and always thought you must be a really great a guy to know and hang out with but when you start talking up my boy Johnson I have little tiny hearts coming out of ears that float up to the sky for you.

That said, secretly I am hoping he was just being lazy last year like he has been the last few years and that finally next year he will turn on the ambition levels instead of it being his talent has run dry. Now that is what I hope for but it may seem lefty is onto something with his analysis breakdown of Johnson.

Of course I am with you on this and I think some team will find him a no brainer especially for the low price and maybe its wishful thinking but maybe just maybe we can see Johnson return to greatness. I a swan song season. Fingers crossed!!
