A little while back I noted that he barely makes the TOP 50 in combined stats amongst bigs. How is that versatile?

he is one of the most versatile big men in the ENTIRE LEAGUE. He is the type of guy you WIN with.

Whiteside? lets see how many wins the "most dominant center in the league is worth" ....Drummond won 44 on a very mediocre pistons team otherwise last year and is primed for even better things this year--- at the age of 23...when Whiteside was 23 he was blackballed from the league for being a humongous asshole. lol.

Who cares what Whiteside was doing 4 years ago.
Cavs won 24 games 4 years ago.

As far as Whiteside putting up potential huge stats on a losing team, so what?
He can only do his job. The others need to do there's.

It's interesting how critical you are of the situation Whiteside is in, but have slobbered over an underachieving Loves dick for 2 years.

I think the cavs would be ECSTATIC to get Smith on a 1 year deal. Especially since he will turn 32 next offseason. I just dont know how much of a market there is for a guy over 30 who has shown he needs to be in the right situation to play at his highest level.

Gotta agree here. He's not going to get better with age. The shorter the deal, the more likely they can be rid of him when his skills really start to diminish.

Who cares what Whiteside was doing at 23? How is that relevant to the present? He is obviously a different person now or else he would not be in the league.

JR Smith was killing his friend at the age of 21. Do you see any of us bringing that up constantly?

Nobody knows because Richardson has been out with his injury. I would assume Richardson but its possible Spo may want to help out our bench a little bit and give J-Rich the 6th man role. One person who I know is not starting for sure (at least I think) is waiters. He came off the bench in the 3 preseason games so far. Its possible they go with Ellington. He worked well starting tonight with Dragic and also gives us another shooter on the court so for those teams who want to double Whiteside. I'm thinking Richardson though.

Dion Waiters could be so good if he ever put team first. He really could be an electric 6th man playing some point/combo guard. He is a headcase though- i know i have said this before- but i am fairly convinced he actually thought he should be the 1B option with Lebron as 1a, kyrie is 3 and love as 4....he REALLY REALLY believes in his own talent. He has the speed and size and strength and quickness to be a great defensive player too. The guy just cant get the mental half of the game it appears. I dunno. Its a shame. Prepare to be frustrated- seeing some really really good things- and some really really crazy things at times.
