I think Monty is an upgrade.

I’m disappointed with how Swift was utilized and that they moved on from him at such a high price. I do not believe Gibbs is an upgrade talent wise.

Fantasy wise, Swift is worth more now, imo. Since he left Detroit. They wanted him to be something he isn’t.

Hope they don’t do the same with Gibbs. Staley being gone makes me more hopeful.

Seriously though, I don't know why, but I have this bad feeling. I believe the Lions are there. The division is theirs to lose. Hosting a home playoff game.
But there is...I don't know...a sense of dread. That some catastrophe will take place.

I've been a Lions fan for way too long.

Swift player in 40 out of a possible 50 games the last three years. Gibbs in 31 of 35.

Monty has missed 5 games the last three years. Hasn’t played a full slate since he was a rookie.

I wouldn’t bet on any of them playing every game this year.

For Swift it is the games where hentries as partially healthy. We would get 3-5 games of peak Swift, then way less useful Swift for the rest of it.

I have no idea where Gibbs ends up this year, but I know he sits behind a top 3 line in football and has athleticism that is rare. You using 18 preseason snaps as your indicator says more about your understanding of football, not Gibbs game.

You claim to base your views on stats, but Montgomery played behind a bottom 2 oline last year, and broke a tackle every 10.1 rushes. 6th in the league, but you continue to hammer home you absolute bad take that he goes down easy.

Makes sense...I tuned it mostly to see Young and was guessing it was going to be 2nd string and mostly guys fighting for a job...

Well, I think that's more about Young than it is about Thielen. I wouldn't expect to see them after this series, if we do, then I agree they're either crazy or stupid
