It'll be a tough series, but missing Lester and Arietta should help. Hopefully we take advantage of this opportunity to get some ground in the Central.

Worley had a rough start. 9 hits and 4 runs through 5 innings.

He got through six, though, and the lead is significant but not insurmountable. An alright off-day for a 4/5th starter.

Have to get the bats going regardless.

Rough outing for the bats. It seems middling veteran pitchers have their way with the Buccos.

Looking more and more like it every game. I'm going to the next series in Chicago. Hope the Bucs don't get stomped.

Cole could not catch a break in the second. After a leadoff walk, he tried to pick Bryant off, but the ball busted the seams of Pedro's glove and went right through. Pedro then dove for the would-be ground out and tipped it away from Walker, and the run scored.

So Cole struck out the next three batters just to be sure.

Marte had an excellent at bat, laid off a few good pitches, and drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Bucs ahead!

Pedro robbed of a hit by a diving Cub, and the inning ends there, unfortunately.

Mercer drives in Stewart (who made a great slide to get under the throw), and the Bucs are up 3-1 with runners at second and third and two outs for Cutch.

The swing still doesn't look as explosive as it was last year. I really think it's a health thing still, even though he's definitely running better now.
