Who cares what nationality anybody is? "Skilled athlete does incredibly difficult thing" means a lot more to me than Don Cherry-style maple sucking.

so few Canadians make an impact in MLB, that to me it something extra to celebrate when we get something like this, or a Larry Walker chasing .400 etc.
Same thing as USA getting all revved up about Joe Mullen reaching 500 goals and 1,000 points.
Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but pretty big for that country.

last No-No by a Canadian pitcher was in 1945 (trivia fans...... that's right, Dick Fowler)

I guess some people might find some pride in that.

I don't think others should have noses thumbed at them if they don't know the birthplace of someone who plays for a team literally across the continent lol

Maybe it's aged back to 2001

haven't watched any Mariner's baseball this year yet.
tune in to a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 8th, BJs immediately basically hit 5 straight doubles

sorry Seattle, this one's on me.

At the risk of repeating myself, Bring back Les Expos!!

Longoria: Rays could be better off moving - Article - TSN

/Need a downtown stadium first.
I think with Rogers trying to sell the Jays any potential new MTL team would have to wait until that's settled. Losing fans in Quebec would hurt the team's bottom line and you don't want those numbers to become real until they absolutely have to if you're Rogers.

Carter Kieboom had a dinger and 5 RBI in his game today in High-A Potomac.

Pirates prospect Gage Hinsz had open heart surgery. His recovery expenses are not covered by the team's health plan because they aren't "baseball related." Minor leaguers get a raw deal.
