The Padres pitcher definitely wanted nothing to do with Arenado and I don't blame him.

Nice to see the Sox and Yankees hate each other again.

I know MLB doesn't want guys charging the mound, but yeesh, you get a fastball thrown at you on purpose, and it catches you right, it can do some real damage. Anger is justified there. I think if I were in charge of suspending guys, I'd give a pitcher who clearly threw at a guy more games than the guy who got thrown at and reacted. I'd rather more strongly discourage the cause than the reaction, especially since the cause is a heck of a lot more dangerous.

I think five games for Arenado was fair, but I would have given Perdomo at least ten. Honestly, since he's a starting pitcher, he only actually missed one, so his suspension was far less in practice. Give him a five start suspension if you're only giving him five games.

DoPS deemed that a baseball play and hence the paltry fine and suspension. I can see why as the head wasn't the principal point of contact.
