Today, we are right in the crosshairs for massive rain, wind, hail and tornadoes.

Stay safe. I saw that on the news last night. Marginal risk here after it leaves Ohio

Looks like the Burgh is gonna get a shit load of rain. We've already had one line run through that dumped around an inch and a half already. Up to 2 more later.

This is downtown. The yesterday pic is already high. The water is usually 2 feet below the walk path at the middle of the pic on the right bank of the river.

Yikes, that's looking very similar to the flood waters that hit Calgary abut 11 years ago. The Flames are still playing hockey in the same arena that had the first eight rows of the lower bowl filled with water.

The arena is about a half mile from this river, but it is also uphill by around 20-30 feet. It would swamp the Crew Stadium and Clippers (AAA Baseball) stadiums before reaching Nationwide. Both of those stadiums have the field built below ground level.

Subsequently, it would also fill the first floor of my office building. Which I need to go into today or tomorrow. I can see the spot in the photos from my building. Those pictures were pretty obviously (to me at least) taken from the HQ of the last company I worked for.

I remember reading about him on Freaks And Geeks, one of of my favorite series. Feig and Apatow encouraged the cast to improvise and adlib at times and the younger cast did not think Flaherty or Becky Ann Baker (Sam and Linsay's parents) would be able to keep up. With his background, and her stage background, once they got going the kids had trouble keeping up with them.

Lots of businesses and schools closed early. Including the Columbus Clippers who postponed their home opener tonight.

It's against the Omaha Storm Chasers.

There were so many things great about the 80s, but the cars weren't one of them.

Nor the politics.

Ok, just the music.

Oh man, I had* a nice maroonish one from the same year. If you put the AC on you might not make it up a small hill.

*my mother got a new car about 10 years later and gave her Chevette
