The draft stuff is really the only misstep I see by them. Offering to help Appel figure out his problem en route to Corpus by throwing a bullpen session seems smart. Why wouldn't you invest in your prospects?

But even if you don't like what the FO does you still know better when you sign the contract. They aren't going to field a team that is capable of winning for another couple of years. So to whine about that when you knew so going in seems pretty dumb.

No problem on your scenario with Appel. Makes sense.

But they truly fucked Springer around, and were the talk of the minors. And this was more than a "misstep" with Aiken IMO.

This is the 3rd series in a row where we won the first game then lost the rest of them. We've had the same opportunities. We flat out do not get the big hits. Even if we get one it stops there. I can't remember the last time we just got hit after hit in an inning.
