Back end of the rotation in this series for the Giants. Dodgers should crush them but you never know with these two teams.

I feel you, man. Dodgers been getting spanked to start the season. Your team's in a real slump when Chase Utley is far and away your hottest hitter.
Yeah they're not looking so hot to start the season. As much as I'd like to see them continue the struggle, they're too talented to not turn it around. The Padres SP is bad and gonna likely keep them from being anywhere near contention even if the up and down offense gets hot and the BP continues to pitch well.

With the pitching matchup, I expected an easy win for the Astros and that would have been less painful to handle. The Padres being competitive with the world champs on the road and only giving up 2 runs(1 because of horrible defense) through 2 games has impressed me and if they can somehow come back from this loss and win the series tomorrow it'll be even more impressive.

May 31, 2017 ... LAD's were 33-21 ... not real shabby
June 30, 2017 ... 54-28.
July 31, 2017 ... 74-31.
That's probably too freaky to happen twice but ....

I think you might be worrying a bit too early.

Against the dogs, none the less.

He is officially a good Giant.

I was happy for McCutchen, not so happy for the Giants and Dodgers.

I agree. It's more about me voicing my displeasure so far rather than worry. The Dodgers often get off to a slow start.

The Giants are hanging in there. if they can just stay close to the Dodgers until Samardzija and Bumgarner come back they have a shot. The D'Backs will definitely come back to the pack soon.

Missing Turner has been the issue I feel. I just hope to see them keep going south, but I know that can change within a baseball season.

It's hard to replace someone that's been one of the best hitters in the league over the last 4 years, but it doesn't help when a top offensive SS like Seager has a .504 OPS or Bellinger is slugging .394 with 1 home run after slugging .581 with 39 home runs (in 132 games!). Pretty much all their position players outside of Grandal and Utley are significantly underperforming their projections.
