There's actually video of the 2nd incident as well. I think it was in a casino lobby ...

Here's a mock from NJ.COM:
  • 1st round: LT Yodney Cajuste, WVU
  • 2nd round (BAL): WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma
  • 2nd round: DT Dexter Lawrence, Clemson
  • 4th round: EDGE Anfernee Jennings, Alabama
  • 4th round (compensatory): RB Rodney Anderson, Oklahoma
  • 5th round: OL Ross Pierschbacher, Alabama
  • 6th round (compensatory): S Lukas Denis, Boston College
  • 6th round (compensatory): QB Jacob Dolegaga, Central Connecticut
  • 6th round: LB Khalil Hodge, Buffalo
I would jump for joy with these, but I doubt that all of these would be available at these rounds.
Thoughts?

I don't know much about the LTs available, but after that, can't argue with it and also have doubts about them being there.

Marquise Brown and Dexter Lawrence in Rd 2? Sign me up. I have to look at more tape on some of these Olinemen this year.

Benny Snell, Ky.

I like him too, but Jacobs has more burst and athleticism to translate with more upside... but I'd be happy with Snell too. He's ripped up the SEC the last 3 years, and Joe Douglas likes experience and production in his prospects so I think he's definitely going to be on the radar.

seems to be a strong draft for DTs, take one with the 1st or see which one falls to one of their second picks?

Personally I like Simmons from Miss State, if he grades out as a first rounder after the process and he's still on the board, I would strongly consider taking him.

hunt totally isn't worth messing with, especially for an organization like this. way too much baggage and backlash.

Love Simmons ... this is one of the strongest DT Drafts I can remember ... guys are going to drop into Rd 2 who would be mid 1st in most other years at the position.

There's a 2nd incident that hasn't been talked about much with Hunt. There was talk that he could serve up to a full season if/when he ever signs with another team.

Goodell is also going to make Hunt start shaving with Gillette razors

I’ve been seeing Cajuste in a lot of mocks. One guy that’s really catching my eye is Nasir Adderly. A safety with corner experience and skills. He closes fast and can hit. Displays ball skills that are hard to find. I suspect he will be shooting up draft boards, especially after the senior bowl.

They've got Hodge rated way too low - he's one of my guys I think is going to move up the boards as the process goes along, but if we can get him the 6th? Awesome.

Another guy that intrigues me in the later rounds - Max Scharping, OL from Northern Illinois... experienced, efficient, physical player who could be a good developmental tackle/guard for us moving forward. Saw his bowl game against Buffalo and he looked impressive. Tackle in college, not a great athlete, but could do well at Guard. Fits the Joe Douglas profile of what he looks for in his prospects.

I'm stuck on deciding if I want CB Byron Murphy or my new favorite Christian Wlikens DE out of Clemson? That's assuming either one is available. Part of me is leaning Wilkens now because Graham will be free agency. Wilkins is a one man wrecking crew. We save a lot of cap by letting Graham walk. Thoughts?

Sure seems like we will lose at least 1 DE but who? I see the Eagles trying to re-sign Graham but that doesn’t mean they will. I think the bingest weakness our defense has is lack of play makers. Wilkins can make plays but I think they will be from the DT spot. Darn good player.

I would wait for a CB, until we get a DE, DT, and a RB. Maybe Howie can work a deal for a 3rd round pick, which then I'd be OK with a CB. Not that Murphy isn't real good corner, but we do get Mills, Jones, Maddox, Douglas, and Cre'van back next year. Plus another CB rookie. We need to bolster our front four, and add a good LB'er, to stop the run and get a good pass rush. that will really help our secondary.

Wilkins would be a great pick if still there at 25, but I would be very surprised if still there. I think the Eagles are in fact going to let Graham walk. Still a solid player, but not worth what he will probably get in free agency. We get Barnett back next season and Bennett who had a really good season will still be on the other side.

True, but we still need depth. I'm hearing that the Eagles are checking out Kareem Hunt! If they sign him to a one year trial year, I'm good with that. Grab a RB n FA, and a backup OT as well. Draft a DT, DE, and BPA, and go BPA the rest of the way. We are going to lose a lot of players, and need to retool a lot.

I’m warming up to the Hunt idea since I’m seeing chatter that so many teams are checking him out.

That said.....”one year trial” has its own special connotation with this guy. I’m not sure he gets to prove much on a one year deal. Not that I’m certain he is suspended that long....but they might it even fully reinstate him (when he can then fulfill any game suspension) for a bit.

Plus, if there is a lot of tire kicking going on I’m thinking there might be a team that will offer more than “one year, prove it” and just ride it out until he can play.
