The way the scoring was done in that playoff league was a point for a running/receiving/ or passing FD. But you lost a point for an INC pass.

We could ignore the INC pass, but IMO it would overvalue the QB.

PPR already does that to a certain extent. Was just saying that if you had PPR + first downs for all, I think it would level the playing field enough. I think losing points for INC might take it too far the other way.

only rushing or receiving 1st downs, not passing 1st downs, would eliminate any issues.

then, if the QB tucks and runs and makes a good play to keep a drive alive, he gets the extra points as well

OK I just checked Fantrax and this can be done.

I am good with that, just would really skew values of QBs negatively

Meh...I go with the term, wouldn't inflate them, as opposed to effecting them negatively. .they'd stay the same, they just wouldn't enjoy the boost the others got

But, if RBs and WRs are getting that boost, they could actually outscore the QBs. The gap between elite producers and the field at those positions becomes greater, therefor further diminishing the value of QBs.

Give the QBs half of what the RBs and WRs are getting for FDs. IE... 1/2 point for passing FD, 1 for rushing or receiving FDs.

QBs would still get the point for running for a FD, but still lowers the score on all the passes.

I suppose it's a possibility. But when an above average QB routinely gets 25, and the greatest RB's rarely go over 20..I'm fine with that little discrepancy

and it is not like it will change QB value or anything.. we don't exactly draft them with greatest urgency...

Percentage scoring is just do we do whole numbers or take it to the tenth of a point.
Oh... I like that. Makes every yard count and greatly reduces a chance of ties.

Definitely, 0.1 points per yard instead of 1 every ten, makes a big difference at the end of the day, even though mathematically speaking its the same value

i might be the only one who prefers integer points over decimal points... but to me it is a non issue...

And that is so ironic because I am not a roto guy.

Did a league last year that was half point for rush/rec 1st downs and half point per reception.
Elite WRs are going to have around 80-90 1st down catches, so let's say an extra 40-50pts over the course of the entire season.
RBs are lower, closer to 60-70 1st down runs, so a 30-35pt bump.

QBs still on top - Cam put up over 400pts in this format. Antonio Brown had 362.

Yes, but the gap between the top few WRs and replacement level grows wider, while WB remains unchanged. That hurts the value of QBs relative to other positions.

That part, I'm okay with. While I do think QB is the most valuable position and real life, and fantasy should reflect that, I'm okay with a little ding to thier power

First off I want to thank @Stomp for putting this league and discussing back on track. Good job Stomp.

Off this discussion it looks like we want PPR and % or decimal scoring. We do not want IDP, Superflex, or any kind of expansion. First downs I think still needs some more discussion when we get to the scoring area.
